"Absolutely loved the place and the people… would definitely stay again."

Quaint, charming, and the breakfast was superb. Magnificent garden and the owner and staff were 5 star. Love the honour system for the bar.

Worried about our neighbours with our creaking floorboards, but reckon it’s just part of the character of the house.

oh my….. This gorgeous Victorian home felt like a warm embrace from the moment I arrived. Greeted in person by the host….. room had a massive WOW factor for its opulence in taking me back to the early 1900s….. nothing bad to say.

Loved our Garden Room which overlooked the manicured garden with Mt Wellington in the background. Breakfast was amazing and very generous. The owner, Julian, was there some mornings and very friendly and helpful. Everything about our 5 night stay was exceptional. Highly recommend this property. An easy walk down to Constitution Dock and Salamanca Wharf too.

"Perfect Victorian mansion in Hobart"

The building is amazing. Like stepping back 100 years. The decoration of common areas and rooms are top notch. The room decor is also in keeping and cant be faulted. I stayed in the Wellington room which was large and overlooked the fantastic gardens and the city. En suite was large and the Victorian shower is fantastic. The gardens are a highlight and lovely The 15 minute stroll to the city and the wharf area is pleasant. The walk back up hill may challenge the less fit. Street parking is plentiful and easy. Staff are attentive and very professional. Breakfast is very good. Overall, a perfect place to stay in Hobart
