Arthouse Glasgow - Newly Refurbished

The location was walkable from the bus and train stations as well as restaurants and shops.

We had requested a room with two beds when we booked. We were put in a room with one bed and were told there were no rooms available with two beds. We were unable to use the room safe. It wouldn’t open when we put our code in so maintenance had to unlock it.

Hotellet lå dejlig centralt. Sødt personale og god solid morgenmad.

Hotellet var lidt gammelt og slidt.

Le petit déjeuner cher par rapport à son contenu (pas de buffet, tout doit être commandé et payé) La fenetre de notre chambre située au dernier étage donnait sur un mur de briques, mais surtout sur une soufflerie de climatisation qui faisait du bruit, même la nuit.

This hotel doesn’t clean its rooms! I arrived in my room to find a half-drunk bottle of lemonade on the floor, previous guest’s details left on the table and fake eyelashes by the sink. No toilet paper, dirty carpet, random hair on the bathroom floor and make-up marks on one of the pillows. Absolutely revolting experience.

Die historische Atmosphäre, besonders das Treppenhaus und der Lift wirken wie aus einem alten Spielfilm. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Die zentrale Lage. Künstlerisch gestaltete Zimmer. Reichhaltige und gute Frühstücksauswahl.

The room was tiny and very stuffy. Poor quality, very basic furniture, tiny bathroom with nowhere to put wash bag etc. We weren’t given bottled water on first day and didn’t have our tea replenished on second. Breakfast was just ok.

The room was fine. The weather was exceptionally hot and the air conditioning worked well. Beds very comfortable. The staff we met were all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good.

No fridge in the room. The mirror was placed over the coffee/ kettle area rather than the desk/make up area. The lift. It is one of those two door jobs and if the last occupier failed to close the gate properly the lift won’t work. The lighting in the lift was virtually non existent so the inadequate notice was hard to read. In fairness to the receptionists they seemed quite willing to run up three flights of stairs to sort things out. They usually caught up with me just after the first floor! Coffee and tea were only restocked after requesting. The coat hangers are useless.

De kamer was vrij klein en zeker de badkamer. Ontbijt stelde niet veel voor.
