Old Parsonage Hotel

The hotel was comfortable, staff were very helpful and the food was great. We liked sitting in the bar by the fire! Also loved the art on the walls.

Unfortunately this hotel does not meet 5 stars standards. For the price charged per night, the gap between expectation and reality is simply too significant to ignore. A very disappointing experience. There is no particular attention to details and service. The staff is kind. It could be a charming 4 stars boutique hotel but certainly not a 5 stars one and absolutely not at £600 per night.

Everything was excellent except for noise during the night. We were on top floor at the end to corridor which we thought would be good as nobody passing during the night. But all through the night there were doors banging which sounded like below us but not sure.

Loved everything about this little gem of a hotel . The atmosphere, the welcoming staff, the breakfast, the interior etc etc 🥰

This is the second time we have stayed at the Old Parsonage. We were made so welcome and comfortable the first time that we came back for more and were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped into the entrance lounge with its open fire the staff were friendly. clear and anxious to meet our requests. The hotel has its own delightful and idiosyncratic atmosphere. Rooms, and beds, felt comfortable to luxurious. Our breakfast and dinner were beautifully cooked from original menus. The Halibut was stand-out. We will find a reason to return.
