We really enjoyed the location of the property - very easily walkable to Oxford city centre (either on a pavement by the main road or along the river) - around 10-15mins but in a quieter and secluded location. Taxi took 10mins from the train station despite a bit of traffic (£6). Staff were very helpful as attentive, room was spacious with double aspect. Swimming pool was much smaller than expected and the changing areas could do with a bit more frequent cleaning (I was surprised that people were let into the main pool area in their shoes without plastic covers) but it was good enough for me and my son to have a splash for half an hour and a bit of a soak in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was very good although my rate did not include it and £20.95 felt steep but children come free so it ended up being good value. Overall would recommend for those who want to stay close to Oxford but not right in the centre.

Excellent hotel, tasty breakfast, stellar location beside the Thames and a picturesque walk to the city center.

Easy check in, great staff, wonderful food. Great view of the horses in the pasture, the geese, and birds. 3 minute walk to the Thames with a path that goes into Oxford. Fabulous.

Lovely hotel in a great location just a short walk in to the centre of Oxford we walked along the river and got to see the students. The breakfast was excellent, staff were all helpful would highly recommend this hotel.

My husband enjoyed the gym. The common areas were comfortable and there was enough room to enjoy visiting with family.

Good location, parking and breakfast. Poor evening bar and restaurant service. Average pool sauna facilities. Rooms nice. Wasn't worth the money for a weekend away, probably ok for midweek on a good price.

It was a lovely stay at the hotel, with a comfortable room, good food and drinks and friendly, efficient service. Particularly impressed with Marley, who remembered our names all weekend.

We booked a last minute stay at this hotel and we are really glad we did. The staff were all absolutely amazing, they really made the stay. Everyone was helpful, friendly and polite. The rooms were great- large, comfortable and quiet. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was nice but a bit pricey. However the breakfast is great value for money and there’s a great choice at the buffet. The location is also a highlight- central Oxford is a ten minute walk away and is reached by a very pleasant stroll along the Thames. On a (very slight) negative note: I thought it was a little bit off to charge £20 for parking; and the pool was a bit crowded with nowhere to relax properly. Overall though it was a brilliant stay and I’d recommend this place to anyone.
