Staff were all very attentive polite and thoughtful. Lovely old building and grounds, tucked away. Beautiful Chrystal bar, with good decor and roaring fire. Very welcoming....

Hotel is looking a bit tired generally. Our room was cold on arrival and corridors upstairs were unheated. Avoid Room 43. Choice of cereals, porridge and breads at breakfast was poor.
