Wi fi not too good

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The TV in our room wasn't connecting initially but it was attended to very soon after we reported it.

The standard room that we initially booked does not come with a shower, only a bath. This should be made clear in the description of the room. We were offered an upgrade to a suite which had a shower but at considerable extra cost. The suite was comfortable but in need of some maintenance.

It's a lovely country hotel, perfectly situated

The mattress on the bed was incredibly hard - a firm bed is lovely, but this was almost impossible to fall asleep on. Also, I faced the front, and the outside lights were so bright, I had to hang blankets across the windows to try get some sleep.
