Quality Inn & Suites

This was the perfect hotel for my parents and I to stay while my mom had her hip surgery. There was an elevator, a very comfortable suite with 2 beds and a separate bedroom, free parking and even complimentary breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful and we found the room to be quite clean. Nearby restaurants offered discounts to the hotel guests. Overall this was a lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The room was not clean, and the mattress was uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest. The breakfast options were also quite limited and did not meet our expectations. We raised our concerns with the staff, particularly regarding the cleanliness, but the response was unsatisfactory. They were unwilling to offer any refund or meaningful resolution. As a result, we had no choice but to leave and move to another hotel.

I didn’t like the cleanliness of the room the space was not properly cleaned, which was very disappointing. The mattress was also uncomfortable, making it hard to sleep. In addition, the breakfast had very limited options. When we raised these concerns, the staff did not offer a helpful solution or refund, which led us to leave and find another hotel.

The bed was super comfy. Would like one at home just like it

The shower could have had a bit more water pressure.

*** EFFICIENCY QUEEN ROOM with KITCHENETTE & 1 QUEEN BED *** The room exceeded our expectations with regards to cleanliness, comfort and amenities. We very much appreciated the versatility and convenience the kitchenette offered. Although small and compact, the kitchenette was clean and fully functional with a 2-burner glass stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer, 1 skillet with lid, 2 x 2-qt pots, cooking utensils, veggie peeler, and 1 cutting knife. Cutlery, plates (luncheon, side), bowls, water glasses, wine glasses and coffee cups for four were included. The small coffee maker makes single servings using provided coffee bags. A 2-speed range hood with light exhausts cooking fumes out of the room. Dishwashing soap, cleaning sponge and tea towels are provided, but no dish rack. Our room had a very clean 15 CF (?) refrigerator with frost-free freezer, a small dinette table and two chairs for eating. If planning on actually cooking, bring your own oil, supplies, condiments, and airtight containers for storing food in so as not to attract pests. Suggest also bringing your own chopping board and better knives. The kitchenette as supplied was a very nice surprise and let us have more options re food. The Quality Inn was built in 2001 and last renovated 2024, according to Travel Weekly. Our room was quite basic, with private bathroom and separate vanity facing an open closet with 1 luggage rack (2 would be nice). The bed was comfortable, we slept well. The pillows were lofty, soft and supportive. For extra security, the sliding glass door to the balcony had a waist-high horizontal bar that braced the fixed glass panel against the frame of the sliding panel, thus preventing the sliding panel from opening. Very much appreciated the sliding screen door, very handy for keeping bugs out when leaving the balcony door open. Great breakfast! Hot sausage, egg patty, hash brown patty, packaged oatmeal, self-serve toaster and waffle irons. Yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee.

COMMENTS (not Negatives): 1. The glass-topped ceramic stove was not cleaned, it had food grease and melted residue on the surface. 2. The thermostat was very slow adjusting to a cooler room temperature (67F setpoint) during our March stay, probably as the unit was on winter settings / auto-heat as opposed to auto-cool. No big deal, we opened the balcony door to cool down the room. A note for maintenance: The kitchen faucet in our room has a pin-hole leak about halfway from the tip, water sprays from it under high pressure.

It was situated very conveniently close to everything we needed and the Ish restaurant was right across the road. We loved soaking in the hot tub and warm pool after a long drive from Vancouver. It was a perfect time of rest before our quick day in and out drive back. Thank you 🙏
