ibis Toulouse Gare Matabiau

Good Hotel. Clean good food great location and very friendly and helpful staff

The area outside the train station, directly in front of the hotel, is currently being redevolped. On our first night diggers and drillers operated most of the night with the noise very loud. The hotel was full so no opportunity to move rooms and to be honest considering more than half of the rooms face on to the street I'm not sure much difference would have been made. The hotel staff seemed unable to confirm how many nights the work would take and how long the disruption would last during the night. Otherwise the hotel was nice, little bar inside, 10mins walk from the main square in Toulouse. But we had the opportunity to stay in the Ibis in the main square for the same price but chose the train station for convenience as we had an early morning flight, if you have the same opportunity opt for the centre until the works at the train station are complete for a peaceful nights sleep.

The hotel is just in front of Gare Matabiau train station..very convenient for us as we got to Toulouse by train from Lourdes. You can check in early for a small fee👍 which was ok. Happy friendly place, Stephanie was very helpful!! Room good size and quite. Shops and restaurants just around the corner. Stayed overnight ... definitely will stay in Ibis Gare Matabiau again if we come back to Toulouse!!😊

Excellent value

This hotel did the trick for our stay. Conveniently located across the street from the main SNCF railway station. It's also a short walk to the city core and the further Garon River area. The free breakfast was enjoyable, but required some better attention when it came to replenishment. Although this location worked for us, we want to highlight that the surrounding area is left to be desired. We hope that the future revitalization will make it feel more inviting. There is always the opportunity to stay at the other Ibis in the Capitole area, which we look forward to trying next time.
