Guests highly rate the friendly staff and frequently praise the good breakfast.
Housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance fell far short of even my modest expectations. Hotel management seems indifferent about holding the housekeeping and breakfast staff to even basic care and cleanliness standards. The toilet in my room looks like it is never cleaned, and the shower comes with the residue of many prior guests (pictures attached). If the coffee pot serving decaf at breakfast gets washed, surely the homemade, misspelled, "decafe" label, made of a strip of paper and scotch tape, would have come off. Maybe that explains the suspicious-looking ring at the water line? Ugh. Making matters worse, this hotel is still probably the third most expensive in the Sterling, Dixon, Rock Falls area. Not only is it dirty, it's not even all that cheap. I recommend avoiding this place until it gets its management and housekeeping problems worked out. That's too bad because it's well located and the front desk staff were pleasant and professional to deal with. Those two things keep this a 2-star instead of 1-star rating.

USThe hotel was conveniently located near the place we were visiting. The hotel staff was very professional, nice, and welcoming. For example, we didn't have a television in our suite. The front office manager brought a television to the room, set it up, and made sure it was in working condition before leaving our room.
The furniture in the room was dated. The refrigerator was missing a rack to put the food on. The refrigerator also had rust at the bottom. The water would not get hot in the sink when we turned it on. All of the ice machines were out of order in the entire hotel.

I found a bed bug and was told that the manager supposed to to contact me or email me but never got received any phone call or email, also the bathroom wasn’t clean
