Azambezi River Lodge

Enjoyable stay: location on the Zambezi River, staff friendly and accomodating, unique buildings and grounds, wild animal roaming through the grounds… warthogs, hippos, baboons, monkeys, buffalo to name a few At night time beds turned down, room sprayed and mosquito net drawn over bed.. despite not seeing one during the whole time Close to town .. don’t walk though as Animals are free. A free shuttle bus is available. Don’t miss a visit to VIctoria Falls hotel or a sunset river cruise. Wonderful wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at A’Zambezi. From our arrival staff were kind, courteous and helpful. Shuttles to and from the Lodge worked well and facilitated access to the nearby town and Falls. The location and property are ideal to experience Zim and Vic Falls.

Hotel personnel excellent, rooms are good BUT menu not up to standard. Breakfast buffet is the best of the lot, but not having cappuccino etc available, not having garlic, waiting 10 to 15 minutes to restock bacon and scramble eggs is unacceptable. The dinner menu needs a whole new approach, dinner buffet was not “inviting”.

The A'Zambezi River Lodge offers escapism into nature with the view of the Zambezi River and the roaming natural wildlife. The hospitality and service provided is of a exemplary standard adding to a comfortable and pleasant stay. Great value for money. The A'Zambezi River Lodge complements the wonder of the Vic Falls.

Hotel was great , staff from reception through to the bar/ waiting and to housekeeping were so lovely. All were very efficient. Garden area was really nice , especially watching the family of Pumbas come in each evening. Food was excellent in the restaurant & bar. Only negative would be the crowded bedroom - the bedroom itself is a good size but it’s filled wil a large armchair , huge built in wardrobes , and 2 massive bed side tables and large set of drawers/ desk & desk chair. . Hardly had room to put your suitcase open on the floor. Most people only seem to check in for a couple of nights - ideally all you need is space as it’s unlikely you’ll fully unpack

decent hotel with friendly staff. Memory instantly became a member of our family. She an asset a great asset to the company. She talk about it as if she is a shareholder.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. During my stay i actually lost some valuables and they managed to locate me after i had checked out and everything was returned to me. The staff went above and beyond with the service rendered. The restaurant manager was very engaging and took notice of any issues highlighted. Enjoyed the variety in breakfast treats.It was indeed and refreshing stay.....

Exceptional Hotel well positioned by the Mighty Zambezi River, with excellent views. A must to experience

Staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was willing to help with any questions or concerns. Restaurant was very nice. Breakfast buffet included made to order omelets, French toast, fruit, cereal, juice’s etc. monkeys, warthogs, and even a hippo are regular sights on the property. Restaurant overlooks Zimbabwe River.

Last visited Vic Falls in 1996. This was indeed a trip back in time. We did it all: helicopter flights, walk in the rain forest, played golf at Elephant Hills. We have used Shearwater for booking all activities. They were excellent. Do not use the small guys!
