Location good

We got very cold showers with very little hot water. We did not find the room as clean as we expected it to be. The shower situation is a definite issue. no complementary coffee downstairs in the morning as well which I've never seen out of the hotel. I was not loving it and we paid a lot of money for.

We left a sign on the door to say not to service the room. When we came back later in the day, around mid evening - not only had the room been serviced - but the was door left unlocked. Not only had it been left unlocked - it was held wide open by the physical security catch and all of out stuff was just sitting around waiting to picked off - by anyone who wanted. We reported this to the front desk and although they were friendly and apologised - they didn't seem overly concerned and took no apparent action to investigate. Also the breakfast was very limited - effectively $20 - Canadian - for an egg muffin (no bacon)

I booked this hotel three months in advance for my wedding weekend, knowing it would be a very busy time. Before arriving, I called multiple times to confirm the possibility of a late check-out, but no one was able to give me a clear answer — even on the day of check-in. The next morning, while I was getting ready for my wedding, the room phone kept ringing because staff wanted us out of the room. It created unnecessary stress on one of the most important days of my life. No real solution was offered, and the manager’s response lacked professionalism and understanding. It was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, later that night we decided not to stay there for our wedding night, and it took nearly an hour to find a valet and get our car back. The entire experience started and ended badly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free stay during an important event.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights for a wedding weekend. The staff was lovely and the restaurant manager at the hotel let us stay at our table the first night for a long time and catch up with old friends. The valets were especially nice and high energy. They retrieved some things we left in the car mid-stay. The front desk staff was ok but seems somewhat inexperienced. The hotel is well located near the Musee des Beaux Artes and McGill. The real issues were the room set up and housekeeping. There was only one sink in the bathroom and no storage areas. Only one hook in the entire bathroom! No fan. The shower was decent. The room has absolutely no drawers for unpacking. Just two rather high open shelves. There was a very small hanging area. We basically did not unpack. The safe was located on the bottom of the hanging area which made access very awkward. They did replenish water for drinking and the coffee maker. That is when housekeeping did come. We did get housekeeping service on the first day but the housekeeper took our bar of soap for the sink and did not provide us with another one. I used a tube of body wash I had with me until we were able to get another bar from the front desk on Day 2. When we arrived back from our sightseeing before the wedding on Day 2 the room was not made up and this was at 2:30 pm. We had been out since 8:30 am. We just had to put out a “Do not disturb sign” so we could rest and get ready before the wedding. I guess they do not have enough staff. The fridge did not really cool sufficiently to chill anything. Find another hotel.
