Parador Palmas de Lucía

We stayed here for a week. It is exactly what is advertised. We took advantage of the breakfast package and had coffee and food each morning. During the week it was very quiet. From Thursday on I enjoyed the music and the additional bar that opened up closer to the beach complete with a full menu. Overall the hotel offered excellent service and I appreciate the staff and their responsiveness and incredible work ethic. I love Puerto Rico. If you are looking to stay on the east side of the island and to avoid the west side tourist trap, I recommend this hotel. Also, ten minutes up the road is an incredible beach - Playa el Cocal. And there are wonderful authentic Puerto Rican coffee, breakfast and cuisine spots within minutes. Enjoy!

Staff was great. The property was clean for the most part. The property does need to do maintenance on the sliding glass doors and refurbish areas that have wear. The gym was closed, most likely closed during COVID and never re-opened. Playa Lucia looked to be once a great beach front area attraction for the locals and tourist in the area. The beach has buildings that were once used for food vendors, but they are in poor condition.. One suggestion for the owner of the hotel and the town of Yabocoa is to get with the local dive operators and local government officials in the region to start an artificial reef program off the beach of Playa Lucia. By starting the reef program, divers from the area could use the beach for shore diving when the conditions out on the Fajardo reefs get too rough. The waters off the beach have the ability to have marine life and in fact the area around the cliff had coral and tropical fish around it. The hotel could have a vendor rent dive tanks for certified divers.

The stay was horrible. Room smelled. The room was outdated. The bed was terrible. Linens were bad. Sliding doors didn’t close. Broken tiles in shower. The entire room was a dump!! Disgusting.

We needed to make our stay the most pleasant possible. Our son is handicap and they gave us a room that suit his needs. Although the door was a little difficult to roll, it felt quite heavy. Maybe it needs some replacement parts. But they treated us very good.

It was pretty nice. Not a luxurious resort, but it had a nice ambiance. Good food and excelent service.

They are very friendly and inside the hotel very clean, otherwise the beach is so dirty w trash ,so bad bc the beach is beautiful.

I liked the Kitchen Staff. They were the most friendly and most attentive. I did not like the noise in the property. Specially the music past 7:00 p.m or the guest being extremely loud past 10:00 p.m. and no one being able to control it.
