Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa

A great hotel in a prime location . Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent and refreshingly full service no making tea and toast. Parking could be a little challenging at times but it also has some free access to 13amp plugs to charge your car. We had a balcony onto a lovely waterfall but smoking is allowed . Would definitely stay again if in the area. Ambleside is great for vegetarian / vegan.

Lovely relaxing hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, great service, wonderful pool, jacuzzi and sauna, only thing I didnt like was not having a nice view from the room which was overlooking the carpark.

Lovely weekend stay at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast included. Great location in the middle of Ambleside with everything within walking distance.

What a great hotel. The staff were really friendly and the public areas and the rooms decorated to a very high standard. My wife used the spa and had a massage which she really enjoyed. Personally I think the outside of the hotel could do with an update but that in no way detracts from what is delivered inside.

On arrival we were given a very poor room but we we were then upgraded to a fabulous room with a balcony and our stay was very nice altho the room was very warm during the night .The breakfast was fabulous .we would stay again if we got a similar room .The location was excellent too

Beautiful Hotel, staff couldn't have been friendlier, lovely room and the breakfast was perfect for setting us up for a gorgeous walk, restaurant was immaculate too, if I had to be ultra picky I would say I was a little disappointed the spa bath wasn't working but didn't even seem worth mentioning really, there are cheaper hotels in Ambleside, but as we all know, you get what you pay for in life, would absolutely recommend to anyone.

We loved every single minute of our stay here! The suite we stayed in was heavenly. Having the use of your own steam room, sauna and jacuzzi was worth every penny. The main hotel spa area was well maintained and clean too. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A combination of cooked to order and buffet. Didn't need to eat again until dinner! Would highly recommend.

Check in was very smooth and friendly. Room was spacious with lovely views from the balcony. Spa/gym facilities were amazing and made the stay that little more enjoyable. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Great location in the center with everything in walking distance. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.
