Days Inn by Wyndham KU Lawrence

The worker that checked me in was very pleasant and nice. We've stayed at this property before and never had a good experience with the person who checks us in. We stayed a couple of nights but the rooms really need to be updated. The furniture is old and the bed was a little hard. Also there was rust on the towel hangers and the toilet tissue holders. If your just staying here for a night, it's ok. But I don't think this place would be good for a family. We only were in the room to sleep so we were ok with it.

The room was dirty. Lamps had stains. Stains on the wall, shower was dirty and had wood pieces screwed into the wall holding the shower curtain up. Stains on the shower. Burns in the comforters. Headboard was broke. I requested a refund, I was offered another room and was told they refused to give a refund. In the new room the Comforter still had a burn in it, stains on the walls, 2 first and torn up chairs, water smelled like sewer I could t brush my teeth shower has stains and when the shower is running it’s pouring on the floor, one of the towels has stains on it. We had to take hoe showers. I am very disappointed in my stay and I never plan on staying at another days in. Ever again or recommending it. I was only in the first room for about 5 min and didn’t take pictures. Assuming good customer service would be given. The pictures provided are the second room. I didn’t expect a top tier room, but I didn’t expect this either. It looks like a dump. The pictures advertised are very misleading

If you would look at the pictures they have online you would think hmmm not a bad place. The pictures are not accurate! I will add the pictures that were taken yesterday. The biggest issue was the BLACK mold in the bathroom! The multiple holes in the door. It looked like someone had broken in several times! to the oily stains on the sheets and blanket. Not to mention the tissue dispenser that was broken and hanging off, the door lock which looked like it had been kicked in by authorities and was reattached in an unprofessional way, the steel box frame under the bed and the un-carpeted rooms...the room was unhealthy, unsafe, and unclean. I will let the pictures tell the full story. When I called and asked what can be done the front desk told me they could send up a housekeeper, which was surely not going to be quick or thorough enough at 830 on a Saturday night. After words, she told me I didn't need to be nasty and hung up on me. DO NOT STAY HERE! 10-1: Just tried to have a conversation with the manager Ken Patel. He yelled at me and then proceeded to hang up on me. The lack of professionalism is absolutely boggling to me.

Only downside was the pool was closed and this wasnt disclosed anywhere on reservation site. We booked knoweing there was a "pool"

The free breakfast was all cold, and coffee was middling. In that my room coffee pot was broken and leaked, I was hoping for better coffee somewhere.

Was in room 207, was fairly clean, internet sucked, couldn’t keep a connection. Ice machine didn’t put out much ice, was comfortable enough, limited breakfast items

Our room was in terrible condition! Cigarette burns in the bedding, broken and stained lampshades, chair was disgusting, tissue box hanging off the wall, urine and pubic hair on the toilet seat and the paint was peeling off the bathtub. After walking barefoot on the floor our feet were black. The room also smelled terrible. I went to the store to buy Lysol to spray the entire room down. I also went to the front desk because I did not want to be charged for the damage done to this room prior to us checking in. Then a day after we check out an extra $50 was taken from my bank account.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there was a strong musty odor. We opened the window for a while to bring in some fresh air, but the smell of mildew persisted.

I booked my stay 2-3 wks advanced from STL. They took my money before I even got to the hotel at 3pm. There I got my keys and was told I needed a 50$ security deposit. I would receive it when I left. Next morning, leaving… I was told I would get my security deposit depending on my bank. I assure you my bank don’t play around and if they give back the deposit when they needed to it would be in my account. So I spent 125$ on a hotel room where I could have booked a better hotel room some where else. I will leave bad reviews until I get my deposit back.
