Best Western Sault Ste. Marie

I was very disappointed with early check in fees. I actually had a hard time getting check-in staff to acknowledge me. Even after waiting till after the deadline to check in, they were not sure they had a room for me, I reserved weeks in advance. This is not acceptable.

The best breakfast.

We were put a huge room that looked like it was seldom used. One bed was made but the sheets were dirty. The room really needed to be cleaned. We called the desk and told them. They said because we booked through a 3rd party booking there was nothing they could do about it.

Nice place to stay.

Just a quick overnight stop my car to charge at the Myers nearby is why we selected. This was disappointed. There was an electric car charger there.

Beds were comfortable. Pool had bug larva floating on it. Sauna was out of order. Really towel and room freshen up every 3 days so I was told. Even after letting staff know my guest were staying 3 days and would like new towels daily had to beg for new towels. As a local treating out of town guest I am very disappointed. This place has obviously gone down hill. The price was rediculiously high for what you get. On a good note the breakfast is really good still.

Nice staff

Very courteous staff, clean facility. Close to chain restaurants but not a far drive to local places. Keurig machine in the room was a nice gesture but there were no additional pods available in the breakfast area. Maybe the front desk had them. The machine coffee in the breakfast area was just fine though. If you plan a late night getting back to the hotel, be prepared to park in the far overflow parking.

We specifically booked this hotel for the pool. We planned to drive 8 hours and then let our kids swim in the pool after we checked in to get the wiggles out after a long day of driving. The light from the pool was laying on the side of the pool with the cord hanging. The pool water was completely still and filthy. We asked the front desk agent and he assured us it was safe because the electricity was disconnected. There was no way we were letting our kids swim.
