The staff were brilliant . Location is nice and peaceful.

Very uncomfortable bed . Needs a bit of renovating look wise in places . Toilets could do with a revamp also in reception.

No hot water in bathroom Draws of desk constantly open even after shutting restricting room space Overall cleanliness of place was dyer. The bathroom tiles need a deep clean and so do the windows. Really disappointed about how run down the overall establishment looked

Clean, polite staff

Over priced, poor quality food. Weddings held on same night I stayed had thumping music until 11pm. I was quite a distance from the event but still kept awake.

The hotel changed hands earlier this year. Please do not take any notice of old reviews this place is unrecognisable from the old descriptions. The hotel is in a brilliant location. Very peaceful. I suffer from anxiety and the now enclosed glass walkways were a treat. So much better than long windowless corridors. The room had been recently refurbished and was light, clean and airy. The bath with shower above was a blessing, I do love a soak when away. The patio doors onto a balcony was perfect for a breath of fresh air and to take in the forest surroundings. The refurbishment is still ongoing but very discrete and hardly noticeable. Food was basic grill food done well. Perfect for an unstuffy dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel super welcome. This was my first trip away since a serious mental health crisis. I emailed in advance to let the hotel know of my concerns. The reply was super supportive and the care during our stay discreet and reassuring. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.
