Proximity to railway station.

Wallpaper peeling. Cold room, barely slept all night. Felt dirty, everything old and uncared for. Checked out immediately first thing and have requested the second nights booking as a refund. Have received poor communication regarding this so far. Little interest. Shown by management

The heater wasn't working, I requested a duvet and they didn't provide it. Only one towel was available, I requested a second and they didn't provide. On the description said "11 miles" from Edinburgh, but it's a 25 miles drive.

Nothing whatsoever

Everything - got to room there were loads of people hanging around outside, there was no bar, breakfast was advertised for 6.30 but was told on arrival it wasn’t until 8pm. There were people lying all on sofas with socks and sandals on. The room absolutely stunk of weed, I reported that the room smelt and that I wasn’t happy with the setup re breakfast etc and he didn’t really want to know, I said I would contact booking .com and he just shrugged his shoulders. Avoid at all costs. Said he was fully booked but can’t understand how he could have been as place was unwelcoming and very poor.

Located close to railway and bus stations, and historic Kirkcaldy. The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard, although not all parts are in use. The cooked breakfast was unexpectedly very good in quality and presentation.

Staff-customer interaction could be improved.
