Perfect location for night out, Large Bedroom and en suite. Excellent Breakfast.

Staff moved my room from a twin to a double no problem.... very good

Not a great deal. The door locked, so that was a positive, and the room was fairly spacious. The receptionist was ultimately friendly too.

Where to start. Upon entering, there were no lights on at all, and it was really dark, and nobody was at the reception desk for a solid 6 minutes or so. When he did turn up, I asked whether the lights were out, and he just said that it wasn't dark. I could barely make out the features of his face, such as how dark it was. I eventually checked in, and it was a complete saga. It's basically a shadow of its former self. I would say decades, so it wasn't too bad, but now it is run down and running on the smell of an oily rag. I think there was only 1 staff member working, plus no lights. My TV only had 1 channel configured (so I set up the rest). I could connect to WiFi, but there was no internet. The beds are the cheapest of cheap, with wafer thin mattresses. The guy running it was nice enough, but it's not at all acceptable, really. It seems like a lot of Kirkcaldy was a shadow of its former self, so I'd probably just stay in a different coastal town.

Only orange juice for juice options at breakfast. Very pale egg, beautifully cooked. I'm sure there must be free range eggs at a market somewhere locally, perhaps with some tasty sourdough or cottage baked bread rather than ultra processed supermarket bread.

The hotel is located close to the train station.

I had a disappointing stay at this hotel. The property is clearly in need of renovation, and it didn’t live up to the expectations set by the photos online. The room was very basic and lacked any decoration, making it feel uninviting. It looked nothing like the pictures advertised. Breakfast was another letdown. There was no atmosphere at all, no music, no background noise, just complete silence. On top of that, the tables were left unclean after the previous guests. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it seriously needs updating and better attention to detail when it comes to guest experience.

The property is old and very dated.

The beds were two singles stuck together and were very uncomfortable. Tea and coffee provided. Nice clean bathroom but with poor water pressure. Breakfast absolutely disgusting. Everything deep fried , poor quality , swimming in grease. I had about two mouthfuls and left it. Didn’t bother the next day. 175 quid for two nights , honestly it wasn’t even worth £75.

The property was fine we was never told the bar was under refurbishment so no cold fizzy juice or alcohol

I have been travelling the cost from Glasgow to here so far. I have to say I really enjoyed my stay here massive room massive shower. Clean fresh towels and friendly staff. Massive breakfast in fact the best I had in Scotland.

Honestly nothing. But this place lacks the polished experience that people expect from hotels in the area.
