Baymont by Wyndham Elizabeth City

My wife and I recently spent one night in this hotel. The facility is clearly old. Although it has been painted and has new carpet, it still looks its age. Our room was clean and the bed was good. However, there were no glasses in the room and there was no in-room coffee maker. The HVAC was turned off when we got to the room and took all night to finally cool the room adequately, likely a reflection of its age. Probably the worst thing of the stay was the breakfast. They offered a few small cups of yogurt, blueberry mini muffins, toast, juice and coffee from a machine. The only hot option was a waffle maker. We paid $160 - IMO way more than the experience was worth. My suggestion to management would be to eliminate the dinky attempt at breakfast and lower the price. We will not stay there again.

Not much of a breakfast selection

The sofa beds were dirty and disgusting. But they changed our rooms. But wouldn't stay again. Needs up grades. Staff is helpful.

Breakfast location was fine. Variety so-so.

The hotel needs deodorizer in the lobby, elevator, and on each floor. Not sure where odor was coming from but did nit smell clean. Room 322 need new sunshade…it is crumbling and does not represent well.

The property needed a lot of work. Plaster on ceiling was different colors; plaster in bathroom also. Rust around the window and not what I thought I was getting. The ice maker did not work on the first floor so I had to go to the second floor when I needed ice.

I misread the first question. I liked the location.

There were 2 blueberry looking muffins about the size of a quarter so I didn't have any breakfast.
