Coconut Garden Island Resort

This place is out of a dream. A private island that is gorgeous, private room with bathroom for the same price as a dorm bed in el nido, friendly staff, dogs, short hiking trail, amazing snorkeling. This place is a must visit.

This place is paradise! It's simple in the sense that there's no electricity most of the day, and no cell reception - so it's not for someone looking for a fancy, modern resort. We loved the getaway, and they've made the resort so beautiful with the garden, beach and bungalows. You can discover coral reefs from the beach, swim with turtles, rent kayaks, chill in the hammocks, socialize with the other guests.. We didn't want to leave.

The island is beautiful. Great snorkelling. Lovely view from the sea front bungalows.

The rooms haven't been upgraded for decades it would seem! The fan was so old and the solar power which should have powered the fan for 'approx 8 hours' ran out after 2 hours each night and it was far too hot to sleep. We certainly didn't expect luxury for the price but were disappointed with the rooms, they were dark, the mosqutio nets had many holes and the bathrooms were very smelly. Beware they will add 12.5% tax on top of the booking.com price!! It is advisable to make a note of everything you order during your stay, as our final bill was inaccurate and very confusing. This also happened to other guests while we were there. They didn't even know how much we were to be charged for our room and we had to show them our booking.com booking confirmation! Note payment is by cash only.

Amazing setting! Beautiful secluded pristine little island with private beach. Plenty of space for everyone and nice social area in the restaurant. Plenty of activities: kayaks, tennis table, library and best of all playing with the dog Momo! Lovely food and plenty of choice. Nice staff, though they seemed a bit disorganised! At the end, they manage to resolve issues and keep everyone happy. Accommodation is basic but comfortable enough - all you need for your little island escapade!

Location, food and feel to the place.

Basic but we knew this and it’s fine. Snorkel equipment was old and leaked.
