Genova surf house

The location is great and the sole reason I chose the property. The view over the cathedral surf spot and sunset spot is very nice!

I stayed at this guesthouse for 7 days and unfortunately had a very negative experience, primarily due to the owner’s behavior. Before arrival, I clearly communicated the day before that I would arrive at 11:00 AM, and this was received and confirmed via messages. However, when I arrived, the owner (Youssef who does not speak any English) reacted very angrily, shouting and complaining aggressively in front of me about my early arrival. Considering my arrival time was confirmed the day before, the way my arrrival was handled was unprofessional and intimidating. I waited until the official check-in time of 2pm and returned later. To his credit, I was upgraded to a larger apartment on the top floor, which I appreciated. The apartment itself was spacious and had a beautiful view, which was the main reason I booked. However, the layout made it difficult to enjoy this view, as a very large 12 person table blocked it when seated on the couch. Seeing as it is a 2 person apartment, such a 12 person long table isn’t required, so I temporarily moved the table to the side (with staff approval) so I could actually use the space as intended and enjoy the view as shown in the photos. There were also issues with the amenities. The apartment was advertised as having a kitchen, but the oven did not work, there was no stove installed, and there were no cooking utensils. Additionally, the washing machine was not connected and unusable. When I brought the lack of kitchen to their attention, they informed me that I can use the kitchen on the roof which was dirty, messy and not what I paid for. The most serious issue occurred on the 4th day. I moved one of the single beds (about 60 cm to the left) to create a double bed around 2pm knowing the building was empty as the only other guests staying there checked out that morning.

We had a fantastic stay at Oceanview property, The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. We would definitely stay here again ☺️

We didn't stay at Genova surf house because the owner was very rude since the beginning. We booked the entire house for 4 people for 45 euros, and when we arrived there the owner said that we wanted to cheat him because the price of 45 euros was only for 2 people and not for 4. There was a mistake on the booking page of Genova surf house and we had the proof but the owner didn't want to listen and believe us, He wanted the double price and he did even correct the mistake on the website while we were there so we decided to leave.
