Limerick City Hotel

*Location*: Perfect if you’re heading to a concert or match in Thomond Park. Super central, so you can walk to the city and pubs easily too. *Staff*: Kind, helpful and genuinely attentive throughout. Made check-in easy and were happy to help with recommendations. *Hotel*: Clean and reasonably modern. Rooms felt fresh and well kept. *Food*: Very good. The ribs for dinner were a highlight, and the breakfast Eggs Benedict was excellent — definitely start your day with it. Overall we’d stay again for the location, staff, and food — but I’d book parking elsewhere in advance or check directly with the hotel first.

The advertised private parking was a letdown. There’s no guest discount rate, despite what’s shown online. We only found out at checkout when we asked for validation, and instead of the €13.50 for 18hrs we’d expected, we were charged €27.50 at the hourly rate. That stung a bit after an otherwise great stay.

We loved the location of this hotel — it was within easy walking distance of great restaurants, pubs, and the main sights we wanted to explore in Limerick. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, giving us the best night’s sleep of our trip. Breakfast, which was included in our stay, offered excellent value and was a great way to start the day. We also appreciated the excellent discount provided for nearby parking, which was conveniently located just a short walk from the hotel. Overall, a comfortable, well-located hotel offering great value, and one we would happily stay at again.
