We were extremely disappointed with this hotel and felt it offered very poor value for money. The food was one of the biggest issues. It often seemed stale, there was very little variety, and the dining areas did not always feel hygienic. On several occasions, glasses had visible stains on them. We paid for an all-inclusive package but ended up eating out every day because we could not enjoy most of the food provided. Breakfast was the only meal that did not leave us feeling unwell. My boyfriend also ordered a burger from the snack bar which was rubbery and appeared not to have been defrosted properly. The room was also below expectations. The furniture, including the bedside tables, was dated, chipped, and worn. The bed consisted of two single beds pushed together. One was comfortable enough, but the other dipped noticeably in the middle and the springs were very noisy. We also found bugs in the room during our stay. The location was another major concern. It is not somewhere we would consider family-friendly. The main strip is directly outside the hotel, making it more suited to party holidays. We found the area quite intimidating at times, with people constantly approaching us to sell things whenever we left the hotel and even while we were eating. We were also concerned to learn that a fatal incident had taken place less than a five-minute walk away shortly before our visit. Service during meal times was poor, largely because there did not seem to be enough staff for the number of guests staying at the hotel. The restaurant itself also felt too small and overcrowded. However, the staff we interacted with throughout our stay were friendly, polite, and worked hard. The issues we experienced appeared to be related more to staffing levels and management than to the efforts of the employees themselves. To be fair, the pool areas were one of the better aspects of the hotel. They were well maintained, pleasant to spend time around, and provided a much more positive experience than many of the other facilities. My boyfriend and I are both in our early twenties and do not have unrealistic expectations when travelling. This was our first holiday together, and we genuinely feel that the hotel fell far below the standard we expected. We tried our best to make the most of the trip, but ultimately felt that we had paid a premium price for an experience that did not deliver. For anyone visiting Tenerife, we would still recommend exploring other areas such as Costa Adeje. Activities like jet skiing and visiting Siam Park were highlights of our holiday. Tenerife has many beautiful and scenic areas, but unfortunately the location of this hotel did not match our expectations and significantly impacted our overall experience.

My wife and I are currently staying at the Alexandre troya in Tenerife and are two days into a ten day stay, and I'm afraid so far the hotel facilities are quite poor, we are staying in a deluxe room on a half board basis and have quickly worked out that the hotel is more focused on taking money from you than making you comfortable and enjoy your stay, we have a room in which the air conditioning, if I can call it that is unnoticeable on any of the three settings, no cold air and a faint sound of a fan , so we reported it and were told to close the door on the balcony, having stayed in quite a few hotels in our time we already knew this and the door was closed, in actual fact it's cooler with the door open and air con off, as for the room in fairness it's not too bad a little on the narrow side but the cleanliness is of a good standard, the hotel provides you with a welcome pack of two sachets of coffee a tea bag and three packs of single sugar , I plugged the coffee machine in last night and when I went to unplug it so I could plug the bedside lights back in the whole socket came out of the wall and the plug wouldn't come out so we now have live wires exposed with a dangerous socket, which I reported last night and still hasn't been fixed. Because we are only half board we are only entitled to one free drink with breakfast, any more and any drinks at all with the evening meal are charged for, all drinks during the day and evening are charged to your room which is fair enough, but you can't keep a track of all the charges going to your room unless you write them down as you go, one really disappointing thing is that you don't get provided with any drinking water, yesterday I asked if there was a drinking fountain for filling water bottles and was told no you have to buy bottled water, I would expect this if I was self catering but let's be honest you can stay in the cheapest hotel you can find in places like Egypt and you are provided with bottled water.on the plus side the food so far is of good quality and the weather is good and the shops are close enough to go out and buy bottled water at a much cheaper price than the hotel charges, I'm afraid we definitely won't be staying here again!
