"Per essere un 4 stelle trovo inaccettabile la mancanza dello scopino del water, la reputo una grave mancanza di rispetto"

6.0

Posizione vicino al mare, le piscine.

Manca lo scopino del water, lavello minimale, moquette corridoio 6 piano sporca, regolazione aria condizionata, rumore della movida notturna. Riassetto camera anche alle 15:00.

"Nice hotel with some issues"

8.0

My family and I have just returned from a week's stay at hotel Troya on a half-board basis. We were a family of four adults and three children staying in a standard room and a family room. The rooms themselves are quite basic but functional. Both rooms had large bathrooms and the family room had a good sized bedroom and 'living' room (containing two pull out sofa beds). The standard room was quite small though, especially when the sofa bed was pulled out. The beds themselves were also fairly uncomfortable with very firm mattresses that left me waking up a bit achy for the first few nights. Both rooms contained a mini fridge which came in very useful as well as an in-room safe. Unfortunately, there was an additional fee to use the safe which felt quite unnecessary given we'd already paid for the rooms and using the safe, which was already there, wouldn't require any additional work for the staff. We were disappointed by this charge. The balconies in the rooms were also quite small. The balcony in the family room particularly was tiny to the point there was almost no point in it even having an balcony. A table and two chairs had been squeezed onto it but there wasn't enough space for two people to actually pull those chairs out and sit on them. This family room also overlooked the pool of a neighbouring hotel which played very loud music all day making it quite noisy. The standard room overlooked the solarium so was much more peaceful although, on a low floor, lacked privacy as people were sunbathing in the day literally 6ft away from the balcony. The showers had good water pressure but in both of our rooms we were only able to obtain two temperatures - cold or far too hot. On the plus size, the rooms were both very clean and tidy when we arrived and the house keeping staff did an excellent job of cleaning and making up beds on a daily basis. I would give the rooms themselves 3/5. The hotel grounds are very picturesque and all of the common areas are clean, tidy and well maintained. There were two main pools, a large pool as well as quite a deep infinity pool and there were copious amounts of sun loungers available meaning even if we didn't go to the poolside until 3pm, we could always find some available beds. Pools were also heated which was a nice touch. Additionally, there was a small children's pool (this one was unheated) and a separate adult only infinity pool. The adult only pool area is unfortunately much smaller and we unfortunately did not get chance to use this at this any point during our weeks stay as you needed to get there early. I've never been a fan of partaking in sun bed wars on holiday so we just gave it a miss. It is, however, a beautiful section of the hotel with it's own bar area and lush greenery. Our whole party enjoyed the main pool area and this section definitely gets 5/5 from us. The main pool area also contained a large bar which was chronically understaffed all week. There was often only one person serving during the day and on a few occasions we'd end up waiting for multiple cocktails to be made before we could quickly purchase an ice cream for the kids. I don't think we ever visited the bar area without a decent wait to be served. There is also no option to pay for your drinks as you go, everything is charged to your room and paid on checking out. The bar did, however, contain a large selection of drinks and the alcohol options were very reasonably priced. Soft drinks, however, were cheaper to buy from the shop around the corner than at the bar and we often just went and purchased a few bottles from the shop to keep around the pool with us instead. This allowed us to avoid long queues at the bar every time someone wanted a drink too. The restaurant was large and, again, kept clean and tidy. One problem that we did consistently encounter as a larger group was that the vast majority of tables were set out for two. There were a handful of tables for four and one larger table for 8. We very rarely all tried to eat at the same time but it was often a struggle to even find a table for four of us. One night at dinner there were no tables for four at all, so we asked a member of staff if we could push two tables for two together. She said something in Spanish and then walked off, after a few minutes and realising she wasn't returning to help us we took upon ourselves to push the tables together. She then returned and told us off for doing so. Dinner was a constant struggle with staff too. As everything is charged to the rooms, we could often need a couple of drinks charged to one room and a couple charged to our other room - this was apparently a momentous task. The youngest child in our party was also under two and I don't think she was included in the number of people in our room due to being an infant. The family room was booked for two adults, one child and an infant. So, when two adults, one child and an infant were seated for dinner we were constantly told our room only had dinner for three, not four. Every evening we ate in the restaurant we had to have this same battle for drinks and to ensure we could all eat. The most annoying thing was, it always fine. Every single time we'd have a five minute 'issue' when there apparently never needed to be one in the first place. The attitude of the staff in the restaurant was less 'how can I help?' and more 'what do you want?'. With the exception of the chefs at the cooking station, they were all thoroughly miserable and appeared to find hotel guests an inconvenience more than anything. The food itself was fine. Nothing to get particularly excited about but entirely edible. All of the cooked items at breakfast tasted a little strange. Sausages and scrambled eggs were much too salty for my taste and one day we tried the cooked mushrooms to find they almost tasted like plastic. But there were plenty of cold options which were nice enough. Dinner was similar, each night had a different theme although you'd struggle to guess what it was to be honest. Cooked options were limited but tasty and there was always a large selection of meats and cheeses as well as salads and breads. Despite being half-board, we did opt for a few dinners out instead of eating at the restaurant for something a bit 'nicer' but we were happy enough with the food overall. The location of the hotel is also good. There's easy transport links to a number of different areas if you fancy going further afield and there's a taxi rank just around the corner. The beach is literally across the road were sun loungers can be rented for a reasonable price and there's lots of shops and restaurants along the beach front within a short walk. The only issue is it is right on Veronica's strip. It's not too bad in the day time but if you dare venture out past 6pm you'll be offered drugs 5 times in 5 minutes (and that's genuinely not an exaggeration). One evening a random man tried speaking to the kids to distract them whilst they're mate offered their dad cocaine. This of course not the fault of the hotel but definitely worth considering if you're travelling with children. There's a lot of really dodgy people hanging around in the evenings. We very quickly learned that if we were out past 7pm we needed to get a taxi back to the hotel to avoid walking down this street with the kids. All in all we had a nice stay despite some issues, if I were to visit Tenerife again I would probably try a different hotel but I would be happy enough to return here if needed.

"All inclusive poor"

4.0

Hi everyone I never do this but is shocking at how all inclusive packages are somehow different …. First off snack bar at the adults only pool .. if you order and it’s not on the all inclusive list then you have to pay ? Is all inclusive not what it says on the tin …. I have stopped in many 4/5 stars and only the top shelf named spirits are normal charged…… but the food I have never seen this .. you order a pizza or burger…… as all inclusive I received a paper plate with what looked like yesterdays leftovers and a hamburger that’s disgusting….. but if you buy a pizza or burger then it’s presented nice and looks delicious……….So all inclusive is a budget no frills…… You pay it’s the deluxe version…….. SAD as I like the location and cleanliness of the hotel……. 2nd little issue is that I wake up early and go for a run or hit the gym but all week I have been able to put me towels beds ….. until today when I gained access to the adults only pool not with my car but because the cleaners was in ….. left towels on the bed and hit the gym , come back and found them gone …. Spoke to reception and was told cleaners would have them , this did not sit well with me as they should never touch your belongings…….. on saying this I was informed of the time it opened….. 11 o’clock when half the day has gone ……. No no that’s winter times …. To which they still must be using…… so I showed him a picture of the pool area at half 9 and it’s filling up …… I explained that if you have rules then go and tell everyone they must leave as pool arse not open until 11 ….. hahaha NO NO NO that’s not how it works he said!! Hang on a moment u said I broke the rules so removed my towels ….. but won’t in-force your pool rules and tell everyone to get out hahahah this is a joke right …… yesss if your all inclusive don’t and if you want fairness then don’t ask. Also we had arrived late Wednesday night and you have to check out following Wednesday at 12 ….. that’s no more all inclusive and if you would like to extend your room is £12 euros hr ….. so u pay for 7 days all inclusive but only get 6 ….. challenged jet 2 rep on this and told hotel make this rule……. I’m not going to brink and eat massive amounts within the time I am picked up and 19:00 !!! But to just basically make you have to pay for something you already have is sad ….. so 7 hrs with no food or drink in an all inclusive package, NOT GOOD AT ALL …..

Poloha hotela priamo na úžasnej niekoľko km dlhej promenáde Výborný udržiavaný bazén 16+ na druhom poschodí v nádhernej tropickej záhrade plnej banánov

Starý nábytok na recepcii i na izbách, toaleta priamo oproti posteli za presklenými dverami, uteráky do kúpelne sme museli opakovane vyžiadať na recepcii, dvakrát dokonca neprišli upratať izbu, hoci sme mali all inclusive, ubytovanie sme vyberali kvôli polohe, kvalitný hotel a all incl služby vyzerajú inak
