Hotel Villa Ducale

What an incredible experience at Villa Ducale. EVERYTHING exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, their team made us feel so comfortable. The front desk ladies gave us a glass of champagne, gave us directions and let us check in early. The hotel and rooms were beautiful and had the best views in all of Taormina. The restaurant, food and ambiance was divine! The staff knew it was my birthday, sang me happy birthday and gave me cannoli and tiramisu. Overall, the experience was incredible. Thank you so much to the staff for making the such an amazing stay!

It was our first time to Taormina, so no comparison possible, but I genuinely find it very hard to believe there is a hotel better than Villa Ducale! The view is fabulous, the hotel very charming. We especially loved Villa Ducale for its boutique and intimate atmosphere, which suited us far better than the bustling, touristy center of Taormina. The road to the hotel is not easy (narrow and curvy) but the hotel arranges a shuttle service to the centre, every hour. Finally, special thanks to Giuliano and Daniel - the concierges - who were a tremendous help to plan our holiday! They suggested restaurants, activities, etc, and helped us to plan and book everything - never experienced service like this before!

We chose this hotel as the final stop of our two-week honeymoon, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The views, the food, and the facilities were all wonderful, but what impressed us the most was the service. Although the style of hospitality was different from what we are used to in Japan, it was warm and friendly, and it made us fall in love with Sicily. (This was our first time visiting the island!) My wife was also very happy, and it became the perfect ending to our honeymoon.

When we arrived by car, parking was a bit of a challenge, but the hotel staff kindly helped us.

I can’t say enough about Villa Ducale. From the very moment we arrived the staff made us feel like family. They greeted us with Prosecco, showed us to our room, and literally catered to us from start to finish.The front desk staff (Santina, Giuliana, and Daniele) were so incredibly friendly and saw to our every need. Guiseppe, Francesco, and Max waited on us with impeccable manners. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the view was stunning.. We even had our own little balcony. finally, chef Enrico prepared the most delicious dinner we have ever had! We will definitely come back!

We were disappointed with the hotel and would not go back. Our Superior room was very small and the chairs outside were on the path to the pool and so did not have any privacy. We did find one member of staff on reception very rude on one occasion and told him so. There was no apology. If the shuttle back from the town is full up, it won’t make a second journey to come and collect you, so that is something to be aware of. On the bright side, Max is a wonderful waiter who was friendly and full of charm and always went the extra mile.
