Historic Anchorage Hotel

Staff were very pleasant and helpful when answering questions! Will recommend this hotel to others. REALLY appreciated the locked front door at night/early morning for safety. Rooms were spacious and well taken care of. Ample towels/toilet paper/supplies for our entire stay! Beautifully historic hotel!

6 of us stayed here. It is a beautiful Victorian era hotel. During our stay, windows were open and no heat. We asked the lady at front desk about it. She said sickness is in the hotel and trying to get rid of it. 4 of us diagnosed with Covid when we returned home. Better off staying next door at the Hilton. If they new Covid was in the hotel, they should have closed.

Staff was amazing

The location was perfect to walk to the train station with our luggage in the morning

The hotel is old and needs a refresh; the breakfast was basic with frozen and premade foods

Terri met us at our taxi door and welcomed us as our host. She was so much help and we thank her for telling us which Brew Pup was the best. We also dined at her second choice to prove Terri had them in right order. We rode a local well informed tour on the trolley that starts around the corner at the visitor center. Great ticket agents on the sidewalk in front.

Wonderful location, right in the centre of town. Staff were so friendly. We left a couple of important items in our room after checking out and the staff went out of their way to help us. During our stay, they were so friendly and helpful, it really made a difference. Compared to our stay at another hotel in the same city, we would choose the Historic Anchorage again as it is personal service with an old world charm. The other hotel was more expensive/higher star rating but very impersonal. Our room was huge and spacious and very clean. Thank you!

Rooms are very small. Old fixtures, bathroom, etc. albeit very clean. No AC in our room but we didn’t need it. Street noise.
