Love the historic feel. Easy walking to nearby restaurants and shops. Nice breakfast options as well.

The history, paintings and adornments were lovely.

The doors are locked in the evenings with no way for guests to enter unless there happens to be someone at the desk. I’m relatively sure that this is a fire safety violation and it is definitely inconvenient, especially since I went downstairs 4 times and couldn’t find anyone. The ice machine was also broken and the price of the room must have been based on the historic value, not the actual room.

Property was unique in that it is a historic hotel. Staff was friendly and the front desk was 24/7.

Some of the reviews I read had me doubting our choice of hotel for our three days in Anchorage. My husband and I are happy that we stayed at this hotel. The room we were given was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I wish the bathroom had more counter space and breakfast wasn't one of the better hotel breakfasts we've enjoyed, but the hotel is charming and unique. It was clean and the front desk staff were personable. I would recommend this hotel.

The Historic Anchorage Hotel was part of our adventure to explore our 49th state, Alaska. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Anchorage and everything is within easy walking distance (including the train station). The breakfast was wonderful, the staff VERY accommodating! On the day we were leaving, we had to be up and out at 5am. The staff had positioned a luggage cart just outside our door. We've never had a hotel do that for us before.

Really lovely historic hotel. Room very comfortable, lovely furnishings and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good included breakfast. Highly recommend, and would stay again if in Anchorage.

This is an amazing place to stay in Anchorage. The location was great for walking to meals and drinks, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Will definately be staying again.
