The location in Beckley is a good stopping point and we love the Catholic Church in Beckley. The room is a typical Microtel room from our experience but it was very clean, smelled fresh upon entering, and in good condition. We were disappointed in the quality of the TV picture, the lack of working lights and placement of charging ports, and we hope the next time we come, the bed is more comfortable and the pillows are better. Some need replaced like my one that was flat as the pancake and about 2-3 inches tall. One thing we love about Wyndham brand hotels is one can count on comfy sleeping. Breakfast the next morning was very good. We would return.

USUSThe woman in the evening was very pleasant during check-in. Upon entering the room, all seemed well. Then I discovered one pillowcase was dirty and had hair on it, the coverlet seemed to have a stain, the windows (accessible 1st floor) would not lock, and the phone had some sticky substance on it. Moving to the bathroom: the shower was very worn, appeared to have poop stain (can't make this up) and there was a large amount of dried hair in the drain; the shower chair (although I did not need) was unclean; front of toilet bowl (outside) had urine dried down front. The tile areas in the room needed deep clean, swept and mopped. They were full so I knew not to bother asking and I was only going to be there 10-12 hours. I placed my clothing over pillow and slept in my clothing. Positive: close to WV Turnpike and food and seems like a safe area.
