HOTEL STENDHAL

This hotel is well located for exploring Parma on foot. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the hotel is very clean. The finishes are a bit dated, but everything is well kept and in great shape. It is a short walk to the train station and equally close to the twice weekly market, the busy cafe streets, and the scenic parks and squares. Definitely the place to stay in Parma.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. The bar was empty at night but the night staff were very quick to get us a drink and make us feel welcome. Overall the staff were very friendly. The location was ideal and close to some very good restaurants. Unfortunately the breakfast really lets it down. The selection was really basic - the hot selection was not replenished even 45 mins before the end of serving time. There was a very mouldy piece of bread amongst a plate of sliced bread. The breakfast was included in the room rate otherwise I would definitely have breakfasted elsewhere.

Location is excellent. Close to train station and cloae to city centre. All within walking distance. Air conditioning in room was not working for most of stay and I had to keep asking over and over for it to be looked at instead of the staff ensuring it was looked into until it was repaired. Bathroom door wouldn't close properly. You had to grab the bottom of the door and try to align it properly and then try and latch it closed at the same time because there was no real door handle on it. Numerous staff didnt speak english so it was often difficult to get help with something or even order room service.

The Stendhal is in a great location near the Parma city center and also only a few blocks from the main train station. Both are easy walks and the latter is doable with roller bags. The staff were very friendly, helping us with restaurant choices, local sight-seeing, and transportation. The room was spacious with classic Italian furnishings. A bit dated and worn, but comfortable and still classy. The breakfast could be purchased separately and was 6 Euro for continental and 12 Euro for full breakfast. Good selections on both breakfast fares. We would stay at the Stendhal again if our travels took us to Parma again.

Excellent location next to the museum and 2-4 blocks from all the restaurants in Parma Historico (Historic District). Beautiful city and very close to Modena and Bologna. You must take Parma Ham and Parmesano Regiano Cheese Tours!

This hotel is well located for easy, level walking to nearby shopping, restaurants, and attractions of Parma. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is in an underground garage adjacent to the hotel. Our room had all advertised amenities and was clean, quiet, spacious and beautifully decorated with a nice sized bed. Air conditioning and internet service was inconsistent.

Room was great, staff were great, location was excellent. Except the bed could have been better/newer, with more support.

Very central, convenient for everything, short walk to railway station.

Older hotel but clean and lovely! Large rooms and parking is available in front!

Some of the rooms are very old
