"Quick weekend stay"

Wonderful stay at this newly redone hotel! We had a lovely time and a great stay! The hotel is tastefully renovated and it looks amazing. Front desk staff is immensely helpful and treat you with great skill and respect. Bed was extremely comfortable.

We stayed for our 20th wedding anniversary. Beautiful, ornate, quaint while still holding grandeur like the Davenport. Only thing is unfortunately is the drugged out people strewn around the streets of Downtown. But that’s not the hotel’s fault.

"Mr. Davenport would be proud of the new Louie"

My husband and I spent a wonderful long weekend at The Louie celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. It could not have been more ideal. The newly renovated hotel is beautiful. It has all the modern amenities while keeping the historic nature of the property. Guests can enjoy all the wonderful offerings of the larger Davenport hotels (the Historic and the Tower are just across the street) while coming back to a calm and peaceful environment. The housekeeping was fabulous as the room was spotless. A special shoutout to our butler Malachi who made sure we had special treats to celebrate our special occasion. Honestly, he and the other butlers made everyone feel special. Can’t wait to return! Thank you!

"Lovely boutique hotel"

Excellent choice. They made us feel very welcome and the accommodations were wonderful. We were also able to check in early and had a room with a view of the street and the main Davenport across the street. Included was a voucher worth $10 plus a free pastry and coffee at The Emporium across the street. Great spot for a cup of coffee or espresso and great gifts for sale. Wish we had not been traveling in the heat or I would have easily brought some of the Davenport brittle for sale. It was so good but afraid it might have melted on our upcoming travels.

The staff, lobby and room were excellent. But the website is misleading. It shows pictures of the bar, pool, etc, which are not in the Louie, but across the street in the davenport.
