Good location

It needs maintenance

This is an old hotel in a fantastic location, half a block from the Alameda Central. I have stayed there several times and recommend it highly. The property is dated, but the price via booking.com couldn't be beat, and it was half a block from SRE, where we had an appointment. Ask for a high room with a view of the Alameda. We stayed in 1411, and had a sweeping view of the park and the full sweep of CDMX to the north. The staff was helpful, they gave me a different room when I asked to be on the other side facing the park and higher up, and the room was impeccably clean.

The hot water was limited and didn't get very hot, but was adequate.

The location

Alot of cockroaches everywhere, they moved us to another room but still the same, bathroom was dirty, my worst experience and the pictures had in the app was completely diferent that the real ones

Concerning the location, being near the historic center and having nice places to go was a good thing. The management people were kind but somehow slow to respond to the guest's needs.

1. We asked for a room with a view, like the one shown in the application on the San Francisco Hotel's main photo: a room with a view of the Bellas Artes building. They said they don't have it because a building blocks it, so the photo is fake, or the building is brand new, and they haven't updated their profile. So they gave me a room on the 13th floor where I could see that view if I stepped into the aisle. 2. The room had cockroaches and a very bad smell getting out of an opened vent inside a little duct door. I made a complaint, and the personnel changed the room... not a big improvement, but there are still several cockroaches around crawling on the doors and walls. the bathroom was poorly maintained as well. 3. The bedroom sheets and pillows had hairs, so they didn't clean them properly. We didn't find towels when we arrived. 4. The bathroom has the worst ventilation, it's like a cave. The shower head wasn't working, so you had to be very near the wall to bathe properly. 5. The aisle outside was dirty, with lots of fuzz and dust around. 6. This is a very old building, so the elevators are too slow and the buttons are not working properly. 7. The Alameda Central, just a few meters from the hotel, used to be a nice place to walk and relax. Now it's full of people selling cheap things on the floor, drunken men and women, protesters for different social reasons (throwing red paint and doing vandalism to the buildings), and street vendors openly selling marihuana, so there were lots of people getting high there with no one to watch over what they are doing.

I liked the location and the proximity to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Zócalo.

In my room, there were cockroaches

The food it is really good, best chicken wings ever.

The hotel is fine considering the price. However, next to it there is a bar which is very loud all night until early morning and plus the beds are uncomfortable
