Shrigley Hall Hotel

Truly awful. Abysmal food and over priced (when eventually served) microwave quality. Spa full and a ridiculous price to enter at £20pp which bizarrely required another £5pp to borrow a dressing gown. Rooms dated, filthy corridors. Confusing signs, rooms a million miles from reception. Id truly avoid here

Spa amenities were under renovation but the outdoor pool and treatments were lovely. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The rooms were a little dated but bed was comfortable and beautiful views

Beautiful location and hotel. The spa is stunning. The restaurant, bars and rooms are below par. The chairs in the bar are filthy and worn, its smells of stale beer. I didn’t even want to sit on the chairs as didn’t want to get the grime on me. The rooms are not much better. Filthy carpets, windows wouldn’t close. The bathrooms were nice, clean and modern. The reception staff were fabulous. The bar, spa and restaurant staff less so.

The Lamb and beef dinners we had was microwaved. The plates were pipping hot. The building is huge and the signage is bad and . The rooms can be far away from car park, reception, bar and restaurant. Peacocks on ground are nice to look at but very noisy. Room are dated with no Air con. Heated Hot tub outside was jammed full of people.

There was building work going on at the time which we were only made aware of the evening before. Lots of work men walking around, some areas closed and loud machinery could be heard whilst having my massage in the treatment room.
