ibis Birmingham Bordesley Circus

Bed had hairs all over it, bathroom door doesn't close, dirty towels. Dust was all over the place. I didn't complain as it is a low budget hotel and the cleaners are not expected to clean properly. I had to clean myself. There were escorts on my floor so i could hear loud moaning noises, and customers coming in and out of the rooms. I did get warned about this that Ibis hotel keep a blind eye on these things but i chose to ignore it.

- Great for after parties - Can habit 17 people without been classed as overcrowded - Room for decks. - Only enough towels for 17 people thou, didn’t deduct any stars as this was twin. - Great location to get back from town - McDonalds next door for quick snack

Poor guy working between 5pm & 7:30 was all on his own on reception, bar, food orders & serving even taking room service to the rooms. Not enough staff when it was really busy. Queues of people checking in & at the bar waiting for food & drink

Really really basic hotel, the rooms are not clean the carpets were dirty and the bathrooms. Rooms are small and the bathrooms are old with poor showers. If you want something cheap and cheerful then book here. Rooms are reasonable but the cleaning is not good! The also charge for parking so this needs to be taken to account when you book.

Checked in on Thursday 7th April for a work meeting as it was the closest available hotel to where I needed to be!! On entrance to the room I was overwhelmed by a stale smell of body odour and damp which was very off putting. The carpet also has bits all over it and needed a good vacuum !! I opened the window to let in some fresh air. Luckily I wasn’t staying long in the room as i had a meeting to attend and hoping the smell would be better on return later that evening The bathroom was clean but it’s a very strange set up it’s like in a cupboard. Reminded me of a caravan bathroom and it felt very claustrophobic. There is shower gel provided for use but it’s not unisex it’s a very manly smell so if you’re a woman my advice would be to take your own shower gel if you don’t wanna walk round smelling like a guy the next day!! Which unfortunately I had to as i had forgotten to take mine! On return to the room luckily the horrid smell wasn’t as bad and I have to say the bed was quite comfy and I didn’t have too bad a sleep. That said I personally wouldn’t stay here again as the smell put me off along with the un vacuumed carpet and personally for me I just don’t like the set up of the rooms! If you’re after real basic budget then this is ok.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist who helped us sort out room service. I did find a couple of the evening food items not to my liking but that’s a personal thing and not a hotel thing. Room clean and comfortable. Basic as we were only having a one night stay. Breakfast is self service and plenty available. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would happily stay again for a short break

Staff friendly. Room clean. The shower room/toilet has a step up into it - might be worth people with less mobility yo be aware of. Breakfast buffet looked really good and good selection. Gluten free cereal readily available without having to ask - thank you.

Friendly staff, lovely food in the restaurant, dogs made to feel welcome, will stay again next year. Easy parking was made to feel most welcome which was appreciated as I was on my own. Met other Cruft visitors here.

The room was tidy but not cleaned properly as there were chips on the table n around the kettle so it questions was the room cleaned thoroughly , No it can’t be !! I slept on a dirty bed , shower room nor clean etc ??
