Had a fabulous time here. Great food, very friendly staff. Excellent service, especially from Paolo. Would highly recommend . Will return again soon

The staff and manager were extremely attentive and the food was delicious. Very well postioned for Piccadilly station.

Unfortunately our booking had been lost during a system change so when we tried to book in our booking had disappeared! However it was eventually sorted. Rooms are spacious, well equipped & clean. They’re very dark though due to the decor and we found it quite difficult even with lighting. Bathrooms are a good size and again well equipped, everywhere is lovely and clean. Our main concerns were in the bar area. On the first visit we waited 45 minutes for two coffees and had to ask 3 different people before we were eventually served. A couple of hours later we went for drinks. Our cups were still there together with loads of glasses that just hadn’t been cleared. Later on we returned to the hotel for a nightcap and thankfully were served quickly but the bar was still chaotic. A shame for a hotel of this standard.

Fabulous stay. Staff very friendly & helpful. Check in was very quick. Room was very spacious. Bed extremely comfortable & bedding so snugly! Good facilities in the room. Great location from the station-literally across the road. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be coming back

Really nice room and the beds are great. We stayed in a club room and it was all the moneys worth. Friendly and servicemined. And the location of the hotel was extremely good. Easy to find. Close to the train station, cafes and city. You have everything within short walking distance.

One of the first Manchester boutique hotels I use to stay here fairly frequently though recently stay towards Spinningfields where my office relocated. Service was lovely throughout my short stay and I found the breakfast choice very good though I struggle with background music at 7am. My room was large, clean and well equipped though dated. Whoever thought that a freeze of faces along one wall with a red and black carpet works is beyond me - room 413. In the old part of the hotel insulation is variable though I slept okay and you are in a city - the social gravity has shifted towards Spinngfields - and a hop away from Piccadilly rail station. Owned by Fraser’s group Singapore the hotel could do with a capital injection as it now has many more rivals - rumours are they want to sell. A new Malmaison recently opened near Manchester town hall which I will try. You can get some good deals here and on balance for a couple of nights this hotel is a decent option. Note several of the reviews are about aspects of the hotel such as the Spa or bar area only.

I recently had a treatment at Malmaison, and I was attended by Bhavika, my therapist. She was absolutely wonderful. I came in with quite a bit of sciatica pain, and despite that, Bhavika was incredibly careful, gentle, and attentive throughout the entire session. She gave me both a facial and a back massage, and I genuinely felt cared for every step of the way. Her professionalism, patience, and sensitivity made the experience not only relaxing but also reassuring. Thank you, Bhavika, for making my visit so comfortable — you truly made a difference. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and very well looked after. Highly recommended!

This was our first experience at Malmaison Manchester and it certainly won’t be our last! We’d like to give a special thank you to Hannah for her fantastic customer service — she was incredibly polite and couldn’t do enough for us. After two long days of travelling, the late-night steak was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend Malmaison Manchester!

Stayed for one night after a gig. Used to be a regular but hadn’t stayed for a few years. Checked in on a dear rate (booking.com). Went to our room but keys didn’t work. Came back and were given a new room. Dined in the brasserie, staff didn’t know their way round the menu or their tablets (“Cabernet Sauvignon? We don’t have that,” — “Well it’s on the menu.” — “Is that red or white?”), food took an age to be brought out and was thus lukewarm and quite small portions. Went to gig and had a post gig drink in the bar; barman was clueless about the drinks they had on sale. Then tried to query why we had been overcharged for dinner ( and not offered the early dinner prix fixe). Reception (I’m only the Duty Night Manager; I can’t access our systems!) sent me to Brasserie Manager who was arrogance personified and tried to fob me off every which way, Finally got a fairer price for our dinner. Tried to check out and settle up this morning only to be told my booking didn’t exist, I was given access to 2 strangers’ personal details on the screen in my original room and another one (Hello GDPR) before the receptionist finally traced my booking and saw that I DID exist. I’ll be interested to see which amounts are charged to my card in the end. Either the Mal uses agency staff or has stopped taking pride in its customer service and staff training. All in all a big let down,

Had a lovely spa day with my Mum,service was brilliant. Bhavika and Georgia gave us lovely facials. Would definitely come again.
