Great location,staff were excellent and friendly,great being able to park at the hotel.room was spacious and clean.Breakfast was good plenty of choice

Room doors were difficult to close so noisy at all times of the night,other guests closing doors.Didn't get a good night's sleep at all.Also a dog in another room was yapping on and off all night

Love this hotel it's central everything you need for a short break

A tired and somewhat tardy once magbificent establishment, whose best days are clearly behind it, but, that said, it was, for the most part clean and comfortable, but there is much evidence of wear and tear, which is difficult to ignore. We are not fussy eaters and found the food adequate but at best lukewarm, served in a standard buffet style. We enjoyed the breakfast (particularly the hash browns), but again it needed to be warmer. Location is excellent, right on Lord Street with some excellent pubs and shops on the doorstep. Staff were approachable and pleasant, but the bar staff took a break in the middle of the evening one night, and the bar was not open through the day. If you want top notch digs this is not the place for you. Overall though, a decent short break, fir what we paid, but we would not rush back.
