room was very good for what we paid, clean and had everything we required extra tea, coffee and sugar if needed was found at the reception counter to help yourself. location on lord street was excellent just across the road from the shops and bars. parking was not a problem the hotel charges £6.00/ night which in Southport is good considering the on road parking charges

maybe a piano in the bar would liven it up a bit as it was quiet on our visit.

Beautiful building needs a lot of tlc in parts ie bathrooms and woodwork Was not happy with stain on bedding and mattress protector I did report it to the unhelpful receptionist who apologised whilst not even looking at me Not great customer service

The food was very good, entertainment in the evening, clean and comfortable rooms.

The restaurant on two levels made getting food awkward for some elderly people with mobility issues having to use stairs to reach the food.
