Delta Hotel Vlaardingen

This hotel sits right on the waterway where an endless mumber of ships and cruise liners travelled. It was a pleasure when dining to look out and see the activity. Our room had the same view. Delightful! It's location is a ways away from the downtown but having a car allowed us to explore no problem.

Dirty stained bed sheets, with horrible views of car park

I am 18 and staying there was my first holiday alone was outstanding. First, being from England was hugely helpful because literally everyone spoke outstanding English. The rooms, the bar, the conditon, the cleanliness and all of the staff were amazing (and the beer was so cheap). The only issue, and this is a major issue, it is very far from even one major city. It takes a good hour to get to Rotterdam Centraal. This only being from the bus and train. This means that for every journey that you do anywhere, you must factor in the time it takes for travel. THIS MINOR DETAIL ASIDE, THE MOST AMAZING STAY IVE JUST ABOUT EVER HAD.

Restaurant, good food and views of harbour.

We chose this hotel because it was close to a family reunion we attended. We had requested two single beds but were given one king bed. When we asked to separate the beds (as there were no more twin rooms available) we no longer had the mattress topper available as it was for a king size bed. This made the beds extremely uncomfortable. Neither of us slept the entire night. The room itself was lovely, spacious & clean. The water view is very pleasant, especially if you are having a sleepless night. The staff we had in check in was wonderful & helpful, however the night staff was a gentleman who perhaps needed a bit more sleep to manage the night shift. First he missed both our wake up calls (for both of the rooms we had booked.) We had a very early morning flight and were at the front desk at 5:45am and needed assistance with taxi service. At one point I thought I might have to get behind the desk myself to make our arrangements as the receptionist was barely able to navigate a phone call. I don't like to be unkind so I will check it off to no sleep that night.

The views are great, breakfast is very good, and the service is also very good. The beds and pillows are not very comfortable so sleeping is not so good.

We stayed in the Atlantis suite on very short notice and everything was smooth and clean. The staff were friendly and fast and I highly recommend this hotel. What a great value!~
