We upgraded to a balcony canal view room which was super comfortable

Breakfast was a little shambolic but nice The balcony/terrace would benefit from a little more privacy

Newly refurbished room

I had an extremely poor experience and would not stay here again. I arrived just 20 minutes early but was refused check-in without any flexibility or courtesy. From that point onward, the level of service only deteriorated. The receptionist (Shru) was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, setting a very negative tone immediately. Shortly afterwards, a waitress followed me into reception and publicly accused me of stealing cutlery, which was frankly unacceptable and deeply embarrassing. The reception area itself was in a shocking state, more like an active building site than a functioning hotel. There were exposed walls, red hazard tape and plastic sheeting throughout. It felt chaotic, unfinished and completely unprofessional. I had paid extra for a “deluxe suite”, yet the room was nothing more than a standard-sized room with a balcony and absolutely none of the luxury features one would reasonably expect. This felt misleading at best. Despite specifically requesting a quiet room, I was placed directly next to the lift. When I asked to be moved, my request was simply refused. Once in the room, there was constant loud banging from building work being carried out above, making it impossible to relax. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing stay, with poor service, inadequate facilities and a complete failure to meet even basic expectations — let alone justify the premium price paid.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Small touches like biscuits in the room were very welcoming. Staff, particularly the cleaning staff were so friendly and professional

Ours was a family room and We could have used with more than one tissue roll

The ‘suite’ wasn’t a suite but a large bed with one armchair next to it - not what you would consider a suite!

The breakfast was terrible, no choice if you didn’t want cooked. Lighting on food was lacking. No staff around to ask for anything. Awful don’t be doing that again

Room newly furnished, sadly walls thin. Clearly restoration work going on.

Was a shame about the area, I did not feel safe on the streets outside the entrance due to homeless people on street.
