Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Zuffenhausen

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very convenient as there were many supermarkets within walking distance from the hotel. However, the hotel was located at a residential area requiring commuting by train to get into the city. The Zuffenhausen station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel but the walkways were undergoing repairs, causing problems especially with transporting our heavy luggage.

Good location for visiting Porsche museum or pick up a car. Local restaurants in easy walking distance.

It was the perfect hotel for a visit to the Porsche Factory. A short walk from the factory, great service, clean room.

We selected the hotel since it is near the Porsche museum, which is no more than a 15 minute walk away. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from Zufanhaussen train station which is has more train connections into the city centre, than the station at Porscheplatz. The hotel itself is in a quiet area and has a super market just up the road. The hotel provides a very good breakfast covering cooked, continental and cereals. The room was clean and well maintained with good free wifi.

Great location, quick check-in, good, basic room. No complaints. Would stay at this hotel again. Breakfast was decent.

This hotel has a great staff and the overall facility seems well maintained. A couple items to think about before you book. Not all rooms are air conditioned. If you want two beds in a room they are twin beds pushed together that you can seperate. (These are not air conditioned). The staff was fantastic in putting us into different rooms so we would have air. Something to note though, all a/c is turned off from 10pm-7am (22-7). If you don’t like open windows, and like cool when you sleep, you should consider this before choosing this hotel. They also have no adjoining rooms so if you’re bringing your family you still need to from room to room in the hallway.

Hotel very modern but beds too hard, rooms temperature too hot and shower was so small my fiancé fell out of it and twisted his ankle

I am happy that I did not trust the horror reviews that I've seen online. The hotel was perfect for me. My main reason for travelling was to visit a Christmas market and as it was quite early in the season, the only one in the Stuttgart area that was already open was in Ludwigsburg which is 2 stops away from the hotel on the S Bahn. Stuttgart city centre is not that far on the S Bahn either and the trains are frequent. The tram stop nearby is also useful as line 15 from it goes to the TV tower which is the symbol of Stuttgart. The hotel itself has just been refurbished and everything looks brand new. We did hear some noise upon arrival ,so some refurbishment work must still be going on, but that was because we arrived early. We had no trouble with noise whatsoever as we were out during the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast costs 15 Euros per person but as it's a buffet it keeps you full till dinner time. The Porsche museum is walking distance away and there are many supermarkets in the area. Stuttgart is not particularly picturesque and a city of great distances so no matter where you stay you need to travel for sightseeing, therefore why not stay here which is comfortable, convenient, friendly and affordable.

My experience, WOW! Culture shock and yet accepting to the slight change for seventeen days. Lost a little weight of all the walking, I am not complaining, something that I needed to do. I was very ecstatic when I arrived at Burg Hohenzolleren castle! Hechigen, Germany. What a epic tale of a history story.
