Great hotel just minutes from Mount Sunapee. Lobby and rooms are well decorated and look recently renovated. Large pool — great for kids.

"Exceptional"

This hotel has been renovated recently and done nicely. It's located right behind the Salt Hill Pub and Restaurant so a very easy close walk. The Hotel is dark grey in color, a sign is on the Salt Hill Pub sign which we missed when looking for the Hotel, drove past and had to turn around to find it. Rooms are smaller, small table, two chairs, no dressers for clothes, but a wide bench for luggage, etc. Nice new bathroom and good shower. Good heat from wall mounted unit, a bit noisy at night but no biggie. Has a nice looking indoor pool but didn't try it. TV has mostly movies and older shows, nothing live like local news stations but some Canadian stations, Friendly staff, coffee in AM near the front desk, overall nice place and would stay again. Very close to Sunapee ski area access road and the rotary.

"Staff training and a more welcoming guest experience needed."

The location close to skiing.

Asked for housekeeping, did not receive it. Returned the second evening around 8:30 and had wanted to play some cards by the fire. The fire was almost out. When we asked about putting a log on the fire we were informed that the fire was closed! When we questioned why the girl at the desk informed us that previous guests had opened the door of the stove and that was not allowed so she had to close it down. There was no one else in the lobby so presuming she had upset these guests enough that they left, we said obviously they have gone so can you reopen the fire, the answer was no. Obviously we left upset too.
