It's was an okay hotel definitely not 5 star that's for sure,, some staff were really nice some staff weren't too nice,, we had a late flight home and we were able to pay extra for a late check out,, it definitely gets points for that, all in all we got what we paid for

Delivery trucks every single morning at 7am the noise was awful it woke everyone we talked too, didn't help the walls were paper thin,, the 4 post beds are a bit over the top considering if ye rolled over the post was banging the wall above the bed

The room we stayed in was beautiful couldnt fault it at all, really big and modern, i would say the rest of the hotel could do with a revamp its quite dated, the pool ares didnt feel very clean. The food was lovely, lots of choice. The bar near the beach was gorgeous with a beautiful view and rear garden where we proffered to sunbath. For the money it was a great stay and close to everything but i wouldnt say it was a 5* hotel.

The restaurant and the bar staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Ianis at the bar. The food selection is very varied and tasty. The hotel isn’t on the beach but 2 min walking distance wasn’t inconvenient. The Greek dance and music night is extraordinary especially the interactive dances. Sadly more negatives than positives. I have just returned from a week at this hotel and felt compelled to write an honest review so others won’t be fooled. I travelled with my wife and daughter, we opted for a 3 person room as daughter didn’t want to feel at risk in a room alone. We were expecting this to be a room with a double and single bed. Unfortunately on arrival we found a lovely comfortable double and a rickety old sofa bed that was grubby, noisy and uncomfortable. Not at all suitable for a week long stay! On arrival late into the night we were hit with an additional charge of 105 euros which is the most expensive cost due to this hotel being 5 star. I understand that the hotel do not set this rate however given that the experience we had equated to more 3 star at best making the charge much fairer! The lifts were terrifying smelling constantly of hot burning oil or grease and were bumpy and jerky. The alternative lots of marble stairs, beautiful but not very forgiving. We specifically chose 5 star and would not have queried this charge had we have had a 5 star hotel experience. The positives are that the staff were generally friendly and happy, the cleaning staff outstanding albeit dealing with terrible hallway carpets that have long needed replacement as they were so grubby and threadbare. The main bed in the room was very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with all we needed. The fridge in the room was very poor so the milk I brought for tea went sour in 2 days. It never got cold enough but was more like a cold box drawer. The air con wasn’t great either. The location was good, close to the centre, and the beach, the views weren’t amazing with lots of wasteland and broken pavements etc. We love cats and were pleased to find the hotel cat feeding station, that said nobody likes cat faeces and we saw plenty of this particularly around the grassed areas by the rear pool. Perhaps some consideration is needed for refurbishment of the whole rear area given that the pool is old and dated, the rear bar not well stocked and often opened late and the lack of suitable sun beds was evident. Those that were available were stained, broken and no longer fit for purpose. The main pool area was better although not enough sun beds for the number of guests, this area also doubled as the outdoor bar and entertainment area. The entertainment was very limited, these weren’t advertised or particularly good, we saw 3 acts over the week that we just happened to catch on the way back in as we hadn’t been aware we’re on, these weren’t our thing anyway and there was no space being crammed into the pool bar area and with nowhere to sit. The food was poor at best, clearly recycled from the previous days offering with little choice and the quality wasn’t great, I expected more from a 5 star although I feel the staff did the best they could with that on offer. Breakfast was the same everyday and offered food not cooked fresh to order, I had some pork souvlaki which looked lovely and fresh off the grill, unfortunately whilst eating I noticed it was pink and bloody inside and this put me off. The fruit juices were watered down cordial and not fresh juice, the drinks from the bar were watered down and the cocktails mainly juice or low alcohol spirits. The cretian beer nice. The cretian wine on tap also tasted weak and watery. On the last day we were told we could use the gym showers which were alongside the indoor pool. The single shower was awful handheld shower head, the drain didn’t take the water away leaving my change of clothes wet as there had been nowhere to place or hang them so had to put them on the floor. This area also doubled as a games room for table tennis etc. this whole area underground smelled of mould and was airless and wasn’t a pleasant space. The advertised sauna was out of order and looked like it had been for a good while.

If you are looking for a hotel to stay in look else where, do not belive the postive reviews you only have to spend a week there to relise this hotel is really not fit to be open and it was the talk around the pool. Lets start with the the room this was ok and first impressions were good, but we had a smell of sewage coming up from the drains. The location is the best thing about the hotel. The whole hotel look like it needs a full refurbisment the carpets are patched and some floors look dirty . The indoor pool is not worth going in ,in fact there are bits floating on the suface . The pool out of the back has green on the sides and some old sun loungers if you can call them that. You have to fight for a sun lounger by the main pool and look out for mr grumpy! Now the food is a real worry, I have stayed in many all inclusive hotels and this one does not offer a good selction of food that is if you want to eat it. I would not recommend it as I witnessed first hand a cook picking up raw meat with some tongs and then offered me some cooked meat with the same ones no thanks i will leave it. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything . I liked crete but would not return to this hotel if you paid me . Also you have to pay 15 euros a night that is a joke for this hotel You have been warned

I would not trust any 5* review on this, I believe these could be doctored because this is no 5* hotel! Myself and my partner travelled for a break and it was everything but! Never in my life until now have I wanted to leave a holiday early or counted down the days until I was home! First of all - this is a 3* hotel (if that) The only positive I have is - A nice room / nice location - when you walk in, it’s dated and not as I expected, the lifts are scary and smelt funny. - No as advertised “snack bar” - cake and ice cream at 4pm-5pm only. - toilets on first day had faeces on the floor and something smeared on the seat - First day a man cracked his head open it was a bloody mess, guests rushed to assist the man and call for help and it took approx 4/5mins for any hotel staff to appear to help! - lack of “adults entertainment package” as TUI advertised we stayed 10 nights and saw 2x nights of entertainment which repeated the following week, nothing during the day, it’s boring. FOOD: - if you like cold food this is perfect for you! You have to wait for fresh stuff to get it warm, chips will be sat resting in top of the fryer for 5/10 mins going cold by the time they are put in the serving tray. - food in general was poor, repetitive choices, salty, if you don’t like oriental /swordfish you end up quite stuck, we had to eat out a lot due to wanting warm food with flavour and variety. Salad sometimes is wilted and doesn’t look appetising, a couple we met had metal in their salad and raw pork! - tongs were used to place raw meat on the grill but then used again to pass cooked meat to guests! (Basic food hygiene) - Cake comes out at 4pm, I got this at 4:05pm and we had said previously it tasted stale and old, this time I found a MAGGOT in my food! Staff didn’t care, told us the kitchen staff are on their break so to take it to the pool bar, this was taken in to the back then the cake was taken away and I had no apology in the moment at all! A few days later (2 days too late) I got a bottle of wine/2 in my room, this did not justify the disgust I had and the fact I was put off eating there! Also I cannot drink 2 bottles of wine on my last day and the moment had passed and it felt too late to apologise! I discussed the above with TUI in the meantime and they spoke to the hotel and I was told that the hotel stated that it would not have been possible due to strict food hygiene and I basically felt like I was being accused of putting it in there myself! You get one A La Carte meal per stay (this is a burger bar) we had a chicken burger, all I can say is it was like a breaded frozen chicken burger, it was brown in the middle and I don’t even want to know the chicken percentage. 1 dessert option. Someone also got a frozen veggie burger, and a chef was seen smoking whilst preparing food - Drinks are watered down and the water is salty, you get one bottle on arrival, I found the gym had bottled water that was drinkable luckily! GROUNDS: -The area around the pool is dirty and overtaken by pigeons, they defecate everywhere and even on you (sadly they got me) pigeon feathers all inside the indoor pool which looks filthy ( is like a dungeon, no one uses it and I don’t blame them) - The 2nd pool was a grass area with uncomfortable loungers, a friend got smacked in the face by one, leaving a nasty bruise! These are also surrounded by cat poo. - if you don’t get late checkout you can use the downstairs showers but this is a handheld shower head , the floor ends up soaked and there’s nowhere to hang anything so then your stuff get wet. - Sun bed wars, one day it’s manned and you’re not allowed to leave towels which helped, then it’s not the next day and you lose out. Some people left towels out their whole stay! Staff tell you to move them yourself if you’ve got an issue basically ROOMS: As stated above the rooms were pleasant and they appeared relatively clean, that apart from the dirty thong I found behind the curtains, and wires hanging from the walls (I hope these are not live) - the balcony light is rather bright and doesn’t turn off, this can be quite bright through the curtains when trying to sleep - paper thin walls, woken at 4:30am 5 days straight with the bed banging the wall and neighbours being loud, staff didn’t care when we reported this and said “are you sure it’s them” in the end TUI helped us move room! When we finally got moved rooms my partner ended up with a firmer pillow, we asked if we could switch/have another softer pillow to which we were told they were fully booked so this is not possible but they will try, nothing ever arrived and he had to sleep without for 3 nights! A lot of the issues are due to being miss sold by TUI and will be taken up with them but a lot are also hotel issues that need urgently addressing, I would never come back as I and people I have met have had an awful experience which is such a shame when we work so hard to enjoy these things, mistakes happen but this just got worse and worse to the point where we just had to say if we don’t laugh we will cry!!!!
