Hersonissos Palace

Recently stayed here. This hotel is not 5 star at best 3 star. The only good thing was the room base ok, looks like it has been updated Recently. However the rest of the hotel is drab and outdated decor. Reception area is outdated just like the rest of the hotel. Only one bar open of an evening which is small and cramped area next to the pool. The food was mostly served warm when it should of been hot food. It was boring and did not look appetising. I know one couple found a foreign body in their food which put me right off.

Well..disappointed is an understatement..believed this was a 5 star..3 star at best.. Pros: Location is great, although the area is a tad rundown The room we booked (part sea veiw) was comfortable and clean with decent amenities.. Staff were very helpful, amenable and polite. Couldn't complain about cleanliness as the is room cleaned daily and the hotel itself is very clean. Cons: Food ......dire....that is all Noise from the road is annoying, its constant due to deliveries which start around 6.45 am each day, walls are also paper thin, so you can hear you neighbours! I suggest a pool veiw room.. All inclusive drinks are draught local beer..thats it..any bottled beer you pay for. You need to pay the following...5 euro deposit for towels, £105 tourist tax, 20 euros to use the carpark (refundable), 2 euros to store your case on departure in their luggage room, 20 euros for safety deposit box. To be honest its not worth going all inclusive, there are so many restaurants in the vicinity that offer great food at reasonable prices, happy hour on drinks in virtually all bars.. Loved hersonissos, just not this hotel..the locals are so welcoming, I will be back..just not here!!!

The location was excellent. The whole experience was very good and will definitely come back again next year.
