Hersonissos Palace

The personnal is very kind and the manager to but a lot of them don't speak french. The restaurant is very good. This hotel is nice and the place is vers good to party but the pool closed too early

We arrived on the afternoon of May 21st and on the surface everything looked good, we dropped our cases off in our room and went straight to lunch, there was a good choice of food on offer. We went back to our room to unpack our cases and went out onto our balcony over looking the pool, straight away we noticed one of the clear safety panels was missing, then we noticed all the bird poo, it was on the two other clear panels, the wooden handrail and the concrete walls, later that evening we realised pigeons were roosting on the walls to the side of our room. At no point in the week of our stay was any of it cleaned up despite us noticing other balconies being cleaned. On day one of our stay I killed a spider the remains of that spider was still on the floor six days later leading us to believe the floor hadn’t been swept, the duvet was pulled up over the bed but the bed wasn’t made or sheets changed although we did get clean towels daily. The hotel states it has a lobby bar but this was never open, even when the temperature dropped and it was raining guests were expected to use the pool bar. The Know bar offered some good entertainment and the service when the young female waitress was in was great but when the male waiter was on there was no service and tables where left with plates, cutlery and glasses on while he stood having a smoke ignoring customers waiting for drinks. The food was very repetitive and on one night we turned up to the dinning room at 2045 knowing it was open until 2100 some of the dishes had been cleared away, the grill area was being washed down and the person looked at us in disbelief that we would want food at that time. We made the most of our stay at Hersonissos Palace but we won’t be returning it is clearly not a five star hotel but could be.

Location Food wasn't the biggest range but was decent andndidnthe job.

Some Staff could be rude, beds were not made, misinformation regarding taxis at reception. Attempted to take tourist tax despite it being included. I would honestly rate this hotel maybe 3.5 stars / 5

kahvaltı daha iyi olabilirdi... 5 yıldızlı bir otel için oldukça zayıf sayılır. yunanistan'ta, özellikle de girit'te bir otelin kahvaltısında feta peyniri ve zeytin olmaması gerçekten çok üzücü. otel genelinde yunan kahvesi olmaması da çok ilginç. öğle yemeklerini deneyimleyemedik çünkü gündüzleri otel dışında vakit geçirdik ancak akşam yemekleri bazı akşamlar fiyat/kalite bakımından fena sayılmazdı. otel fotolarda deniz kenarındaki gibi pazarlanmış ancak gerçekte öyle değil. otel deniz kenarında olmadığı gibi hele fotolardaki gibi hiç değildi. uzun lafın kısası fotolara bakarak gelirseniz hayal kırıklığına uğrayabilirsiniz. personel de çok vasattı. kimsenin yüzü gülmüyordu. bütçenizi biraz daha artırıp kesinlikle daha farklı bir otele gitmenizi öneririm.

This hotel is nowhere near a 4 star or 5 star rating . At best a 3* and that is due to its EXCEPTIONAL staff and cleanliness. The hotel is spotlessly clean from communal areas to each individual room. Maid service in every day and beds made. ALL staff are so welcoming and friendly. They are so approachable and will bend over backwards to help with your needs.From cleaners to receptionists and everyone in between this has to be the best service I have received.(and I have travelled all over the world). The rooms are a decent size, with very comfy large beds. A small balcony with comfortable seating. Reception is on the 2nd floor accessed by stairs or one of 2 VERY SMALL lifts. Bar and restaurant on the 1st floor and communal toilets on the lower ground floor again access by stairs or small lift.Bear this in mind for later on in my review. The meals were AWFUL, not much choice and what was available was over cooked and almost inedible. Lamb chops that were so well done they flew across the table when I tried to cut them. Not much veggie choice especially potato choice. Deserts were okay but the ice cream had no flavour you just guessed what it was supposed to be from the colours. Drinks were watered down especially the beer,which asking for a large beer you got a half pint !!! Vodka tasted like paint stripper. They do have a bar called know bar down on the beach with great views. Now my main issues…both myself and my husband are disabled. I use a mobility scooter my husband 2 walking sticks(he is awaiting knee surgery for those who may doubt). Everywhere in the hotel is stairs. The lifts (there are 2) measure approx 90cm square. My scooter would not fit in the lift,in fairness the staff did do everything they could but the scooter had to be dismantled completely every time we wanted to leave our room. There was no disabled toilet and no toilets at all on the floor with bars and restaurants.. access to the hotel was a little ropey with a slight ramp but that’s it. Outside the hotel no dropped kerbs and accessible footpaths so had to ride on the roads with traffic. Outside the hotel areas are quite accessible if a little bumpy. Glad we were only here for a few nights it was sufficient time in this hotel,in this day and age the disability discrimination in this hotel is disgraceful. They need to spend a little money on bigger lifts and some disabled rooms with grab rails etc. to make this anywhere near a 4* oh and a new chef!
