Camel's Garden Hotel

Nice property; very accessible to gondola which allowed a whole new area with restaurants, bars & scenery to explore. Walkable to downtown area; great eating places all around.

Perfect location right next to the gondola. Not a 'quaint' or 'beautiful' building but makes up for it in convenience, cleanliness, and service. We've stayed at several places in Telluride, this one twice, and it's our favorite primarily because it's got everything you need within a block or two - gondola, trails, river, store, many many restaurants, hot tub, bike and boat rental, etc. If I could make one suggestion it would be to expand the breakfast options. After two days the cereal/yogurt/bagels is...okay...but eggs, bacon, omelettes, waffles, or some other variety would go far in enhancing the experience. Oh yeah, the place is dog-friendly which is really great and apparently not common in Telluride.

Great hotel next to gondola and close to downtown. Very clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was quite good and better than most. The only problem we had was with the a/c remote.

Beautiful, convenient, clean. Staff accomdating but, only some of them spoke first. I can appreciate the standard of breakfast they are trying to serve. But, never underestimate the draw of bacon. Its an American favorite. Eggs served in some form has been a standard for years. Oh, i heard six customers complain over their plates that there was no eggs or bacon. Probably just the area but, i would have thought the room fee would have covered the parking garage. If they would clean up all the junk and/or storage they would have more spots to offer. Again, Beautiful rooms, and inside is beautiful. And conveniently located.

Camel’s Gsrden Inn is conveniently located next to the free gondola which links Telluride town to Mountain Village. Their continental breakfast includes options beyond coffee, juice, and pastries. The connected restaurant, Oak, is great for a casual drink and meal. The property is tastefully decorated with colorful art. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our only complaint was that there was no air conditioning or ceiling fan, keeping our room stuffy and too warm for sleeping despite having windows open all night.

This was a beautiful property in a beautiful town!

I would certainly recommend this hotel due to its location. It is right in the middle of all the action. Most restaurants and stores are easily walkable. The hotel staff was also very friendly who always helped us with parking and providing with recommendations for things to do.

Unexciting public spaces but a wonderful, huge room with a balcony. Bed felt comfy but the duvet-only setup - no top sheet! - made for a tough sleep for someone not accustomed to that at home. Breakfast was unremarkable except for the fantastic seasonal berries. Tons of bars and restaurants in close walking distance.

Perfect area of Telluride for taking a Gondola ride. Cute square with vendors right outside.
