Room was not clean and smelt like cigarettes. Bathroom was mouldy.

It was close to the venue for what I intended.

The buffet breakfast was very minimal with options.

The bed was very comfortable. The body wash and shampoo and soap were lovely. The room was clean.

When we arrived there was a man in the car park who was holding a piece of paper. He spoke to us, not sure what he said or what he wanted. He was not a guest. I assume he wanted a lift or money or something. It was a bit off putting. In the hallway near the lift were 2 trolleys of rubbish - they smelt. They were still there the next morning. This left a very poor impression, to see this when entering and exiting the lifts was not ok. There was someone running up and down the hall at some stage too outside our door. I also left some clothes in the room and have emailed to see if they were found with no response.

Breakfast didn’t refill food

The Rydges Bass Hill has been our home away from home for several years. Betty at the front and Mohammed (Security) are amazing!! Rooms are always clean and comfy. Breakfast is lovely.

I could not book through the website as it said there were no vacancies. when I called to book directly, I was told no vacancies. I later booked on bookings.com where I found 2 rooms available that I booked.

Only liked the window in our room.

The staff were not helpful at all. I did some groceries whihc I had to carry upstairs. I tried to call reception and housekeeping for things we required, no one answered, the phone kept ringing for ages. The room service did not leave extra toilet paper in the bathroom, we had to get our own. When they came to do the bed, it was done in a very messy way. The bathrooms are too old, you have to hop on the bathrub to get to the shower. The buffet breakfast was very disappointing, we went down at around 8 am (it goes from 7-10) everything was cold and it is nothing like the photos where you have things like waffles and fresh berries, there were some stale danishes, really disgusting looking yogurt and some egg and bacon.

The windows need block out blinds or curtains i could not sleep with the amount of light coming in it was like day time

The staff were very helpful and nice.
