"Wonderful home base to explore Connemara"

10.0

Outstanding! Anne Marie & the staff was excellent. Everything was wonderful: food, facilities, staff, etc. It’s a little off the beaten path, but everything you need is there so you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to. Couldn’t been happier to start our holiday there 4 days, 3 nights)

"Just Go."

10.0

Stunning views, a gorgeous garden, and the best hospitality I've experienced anywhere in the world. The staff is friendly but not overbearing, and was happy to accommodate requests from my need for feather-free pillows to suggestions on where to shop for woolens. The food is excellent. Whoever is cooking the eggs back in the kitchen really knows what they are doing--they were perfectly softboiled, fried, and scrambled throughout the course of my stay. I had dinner in the dining room twice--exceptional service and food both times, from prawn to rack of lamb. Over our week there, we enjoyed harp music in the lounge and Irish music in the pub, even a one-woman play one night. in the evenings, the air was redolent with the unfamiliar scent of peat from the hearth. Gorgeous views of the ocean and sunrise from my room, and I enjoyed walking along the rocky beaches and in the meadow. It's hard to imagine a more pleasant and peaceful stay and was a lovely refuge from the world for a spell.

"Exceptional hotel. Ideally located. Spotless and fantastic welcoming service."

10.0

Renvyle House is an amazing experience. The house is quaint on the inside with its wooden interior and turf fires. The rooms were of a very high standard and very comfortable. The service was fantastic. A very special call out to the hotel manager Anne Marie and the maître d'hôtel Martin. They made us feel very welcome as did all the staff. The dinner was superb as was the breakfast. We will definitely be back.

"Heavenly Renvyle"

10.0

I attended a delightful writing retreat and stayed at this remarkable hotel. It was divine. The breakfasts, bloody mary's, pub and three course dinners were superb. My room had a gorgeous view of fields with buttercups and beckoning sea. This is a slice of heaven.

"HIDDEN GEM"

10.0

My wife, Daughter and Partner and myself had the pleasure of spending 3 nights in Renvyle House Hotel. To say that we enjoyed our stay would be a gross understatement. From the moment we arrived at the door one could feel the welcome, help with our bags, the 2 young ladies at reception, the Housekeeping manager, nothing was any problem. There are very, very few hotels where you get this really genuine welcome, also the way all the staff are properly turned out in their uniforms (shining) and each one having been properly trained and very efficient at their jobs with a smile and a word for everyone. The food is always at an extremely high level using local produce where possible. Because of all this it has the effect on the guests that the majority acknowledge each other and are friendly to each other. Even all the awards that have been won they don’t do justice to the Hotel The Management and staff should be very proud of all the above because without the combined efforts of all this Hotel would not be what it is, A HIDDEN GEM IN POSSIBLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PART OF IRELAND

"Fabulous food in a stunning location"

10.0

Wonderful hotel set on its own lake and on the edge of the sea. Views breathtaking. Of particular note is the wonderful chef and food - local Oysters with lemongrass sauce, lobster risotto, clam chowder were some of the best we have ever had. Congratulations to the chef. Front of house Martin is a gem. And bar staff very attentive and friendly. Nice heated outdoor pool and hot tubs overlooking the sea. Croquet lawn. You can eat a 5 course meal or bar food. Great place for R&R

"A magical and sensory experience at Renvyle House hotel"

10.0

Situated on a peninsula, Renvyle House hotel stands out for several reasons, not just geographical. The warmth of the welcome is genuine. The bedrooms offer comfort as well as wonderful views of the sea or garden, places to which one can wander at leisure while drinking in the clean, fresh air. A walk to the headland is accompanied by the sound of the skylark while the trails exhibit a bounty of wild flowers including orchids. We swam in pool and sea, indulging in the enveloping warmth of the hot tubs after a glorious afternoon spent at Kylemore Abbey. The food we enjoyed, especially the freshest of fish, was another sensory experience to add to our time at Renvyle House hotel. Canoes and rowing boats completed our physical experiences. One evening we were soothed by a harp recital while the next saw us invigorated and moved to dance during a sing-along - great fun and craic - all the better for no amplification! Yet, what makes Renvyle House hotel stand out is the person-centred service, never obtrusive but always warm and efficient. A truly magical and memorable visit.
