Poseidon Athens

This Poseidon Athens was amazing. Super close to the beach, places to eat and the train/bus stop. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast buffet has a ton of delicious options. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very convenient

BRILLIANT HOTEL - ROOMS AND PROPERTY IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. STAFF ARE SO HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGABLE - we enjoyed all the recommendations they gave us. they managed to book all our tours. location of the hotel is the best - close to TRAM, close to BUS station and CITY Tour bus.. middle between city and Marina beach front - just perfect

We had such a wonderful time at the Poseidon Athens hotel! The location is fantastic, just over the road from the beach and a great little kiosk. There's also a big supermarket next door which was a bonus. The tram is also over the road to get you into the city easily enough. The staff were great and the breakfast was particularly superb. Air-con was brilliant but so was the balcony view! 😍

The view from our room was stunning. I also loved the wall-to-wall window doors - it elevated even our time in the room to feeling like we were experiencing the outside. Could not beat the ease of transport to the Eden team stop - it was very easy to get in and out of the acropolis with trains running every 5-10 minutes during our stay. The rooftop pool was nice and cool - much more refreshing than many local pools back home in America. Would love to stay here again

Beach is not clean and a pigeon was eating off discarded plates at the beach restaurant/bar. The hotel restaurant was empty and we left half the pizza we ordered

I have had a wonderful time at Poseidon. During my stay, I took many pictures, not only because I thought they were worth taking as mementos, but also because I believe great service deserves appreciation and a great review in return. The room was clean and spacious with an amazing view to the sea, while the bathroom had a great shower that made me instantly say to myself that I will have this type of shower in my home one day. Despite Poseidon only being described as a 3* hotel, the services provided made me believe it should be at least a 4* establishment. From slippers, shower gel, shampoo and dental sets, all the way to including breakfast into the room price, room service, a roof top restaurant&pool with a beautiful view of Athens and even laundry services. There were also a couple of buttons by the room's door that you could press to let the housekeeping team know wether you want the room to be cleaned or you wish to not be disturbed. The breakfast item options were abundant and of high quality. I had the pleasure of trying different things every morning. The location is also excellent. Right across the street from public transport links which lead all over the city and even the airport. And most importantly, also right across the street from the beach where you can find their own tavern. A tavern that serves delicious traditional food. I recommend trying the saganaki, tirokafteri and portokalopita (traditional orange cake as its found on the menu) . The reception team was also very welcoming and answered any queries I had promptly and clearly. If you are thinking of coming to Athens and are looking for a hotel, I strongly recommend booking your stay at Poseidon. The chances of being disappointed during your stay are extremely low.

The cleanliness, the terrace, and the sea view couldn't have been better! The breakfast was great! I loved all the staff, super kind and always ready to help, but especially I'd like to thank Kristina, the sweet blonde who works at the front desk, she was so nice to us. The last night before our departure there was a strong earthquake, I was very scared and the young gentleman at the reception was very helpful. One afternoon, a small tornado hit the beach from the sea and overturned everything, leaving my husband with a few small scratches... nothing serious, fortunately, but just a real scare! The staff and management at the beach didn't even bother to check on all those people on the beach, and when anyone comes to use the umbrellas and lounge chairs, they immediately run to shake their money... ZERO EMPATHY!

As gold VIP was not beneficial, did receive the bottle of wine 😔 I was given a room with the worst view possible, the emergency light in the bedroom makes the whole room glow green at night, the water in the shower was always cold. The beds were like sleeping on the floor and the pillows were solid foam. Breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The hotel is close to the beach and harbour but nothing else, theres not much around and a very limited choice in restaurants and bars.

The property was adequate but not as described online. There is no self service parking option for guests and if you are a foreigner you are treated subpar borderline discriminatory. I attempted to utilize the skenieities offered, specifically the rooftop Bar, and was ignored by a shorter in height bartender for more than 20 minutes while he greeted and served three different guests who arrived long after I had. He waited on all the guests at their table, however, in order for me to obtain service and ultimately Pay for my drinks I had to get up and go to the bar every single time. This was an issue to me because everyone else in the establishment was receiving table side service and greeted when they came to the bar. I would not recommend any one to come here unless you are Greek.
