Poseidon Athens

We arrived at the Poseidon hotel Athens just after midnight, hotel reception was helpful and the check-in was pretty smooth. Our room was for 3 persons 2 adults and 1 teen. The hotel is very dated and could do with modernisation however the functions in the room were in good condition. We had two balconies one overlooking the hotel conservatory and brick walls the second a slim view of the sea. In the morning we asked about and see view room and to be told non of the sea views rooms are for family or more than 2 persons occupying. This was disappointing but we are here on a city break and not spending time in the room. The pool bar swim on the 7th floor was pretty good! There are some safety issues with the layout of the sun beds but there was plenty to go round lots of seating area. The roof terrace was looking over the whole area great addition to the hotel. Food and cocktails drinks menu was reasonable priced and quality and service was good. Breakfast menu was excellent good choice of items. How I was disappointed with the omelette station my item was burnt and extremely large. Overall pleasant stay at this hotel and a big thank you to the ladies on reception were helpful and friendly.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night following a cruise. We took a short taxi ride from the port to this hotel which is located conveniently on the beach and has excellent transport links, with trams taking you direct to Piraeus or Syntagma Square in the centre of Athens and a direct airport express bus (X96 - which takes about an hour).   Our room was on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea. There's a busy road directly in front of the hotel, but as room was sufficiently soundproofed, it didn't cause any issue. Breakfast is included and is a delicious spread of hot and cold items. There's also a rooftop pool and bar with towels provided which was welcome after a day at the beach.   Across the road from the hotel is the restaurant and beach bar where we had a reasonably priced dinner. As hotel guests, you can rent beach chairs for €10 which come with an umbrella. The beach was clean and pretty busy when we were there so go early to get chairs.   Highly recommend this hotel for a short break outside the city centre. It was a perfect stay before our flight home the next day and we can't wait to return.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are soundproof and you donhear the traffic. Beach bar and restaurant are excellent.

We stayed at POSEIDON ATHENS HOTEL to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was truly special. It was not only our first time at the hotel, but also my very first visit to Greece—and what a beautiful introduction it was! A heartfelt thank you to Maria, the Front Office & Revenue Manager, along with the entire front desk and kitchen team. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our celebration truly unforgettable.

Great hotel with lovely staff and comfortable rooms. Very noisy in the front otherwise location and ease to beach and trams excellent.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Great location with gorgeous views of the Athens riviera and mountains. Rooftop restaurant was excellent, and breakfast buffet was good and had good variety. Beds comfy. Only issue was the a/c in our rooms. Even at the coolest setting, rooms were not cool at all.
