Best Western Escondido Hotel

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was amazing.

There should be more variety for breakfast.

Front desk check in was quick and easy.

Clean suite with a dining table and counter. Nice pool and good breakfast. Adjacent to the 15 fwy. Be advised there are a number of homeless passing through the parking lot. Overall a good experience and we will stay there again.

Everything for us was great but I just wish they have connected room specifically when you have teens it was a little uncomfortable having my 12y/o and 13y/o in a separate room with out any connection, other then that our staying was great.

It was pleasant . Quiet, clean and corfortable.

Do not stay at this hotel! The management is awful and does not respect its customers, including rewards members. We checked in about 8:30 after a very long emotional day. We were looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi. We specifically asked the desk clerk how late the jacuzzi was open because we wanted to relax in it. When we went to use the jacuzzi, it was dirty. It had dirt and leaves in it. On top of that it didn't work! No bubbles! My husband went to the desk; the clerk told him the dirt was from some people who went to the beach then got in with sand all over themselves. The hotel is not near a beach. The leaves were from gusts of wind. The kicker was when he said the owners knew it was broken but refused to fix it. At 10:30 we pulled back the sheet to finally climb into bed, there was what looked like blood on the top sheet! Again, my husband went to the desk where the clerk gave him 2 sheets to put on the bed. In the morning, I noticed there was also what looked like blood on the draperies. We are rewards members, so we called Best Western. Best Western reached out to the hotel. The manager lied to BW Rewards saying they had already spoken with us upon our checking out, they said they offered us 500 rewards points plus a discount on a future stay (like we'd ever stay there again) and the matter was closed. No one ever spoke to us, and we'd never have agreed to that if they had. We told BW Rewards that we didn't accept that. BW contacted the hotel again; they offered another 1,000 points and that was their final offer. 1,500 points amounts to maybe $5.00-$10.00 off. What an insult. The hotel is overpriced for a weeknight in that area. Also, the pillows they provide on the bed are the size of throw pillows you'd find on a couch, not a bed.
