ibis Paris La Défense Esplanade

I turned up at 11pm to be told that the hotel was overbooked. They put me in another Ibis nearby, but it was a very unsatisfactory experience

Does what it says on the tin - it's an expensive part of town to get a room so it's probably not too surprising that, for one of the more affordable prices in the area, you get a somewhat pared-back experience. That said, it's clean and tidy and breakfast was included to boot. Just don't expect much space.

This hotel is simple, clean and tidy. The staff are helpful and friendly. Location is good. The room wifi is excellent .

I think as an american we are used to bigger hotel rooms. I knew this was a 3 star hotel but I had a hard time navigating around the room. Very cramped and not much space for clothing or closet space. Most of these hotels will list how many square feet or square meters the room is, the more expensive being bigger. I found this hotel at a loss for breakfast meals, same thing every day and not much to offer. I found the bar and food at the bar to be microwave only. For the same price I could have stayed directly next door with room service and full accommodations. I also found a totally nicer hotel a few hundred yards away for very similar cost. For laundry service you can iron clothes in a room in the basement. It works and you do it yourself, but no iron in your room. I will not go back and was happy to leave.

Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Stayed here for business and had everything I needed.

Pleasant stay. Good location. Like like like. Next to the metro and 5 min away from Champs elysees. All was good. Very clean and very satisfied.

Only issue was the knocking on the door for "breakfast" ! We did not ask for a wake up call and a knocking on our door at 8 am followed by one at 8.30 after asking not to be disturbed was very very unsettling.

Nothing arround, need take metro to get shops. Bed are small (not large enough), single bed not enough large, not confortable night even if bed quality is good. No refrigerator, no enough water pressure in bathroom , toilet blocked coz they put flush in economic mode. Maintenance guy was professional and nice. In breakfast, someday that didn't refill automatically, sunday i arrived and no more small spoon, orange juice, no jam,.. Even when i asked I waited that the staff member finished his phone call. When i complain about the fact that bed is small and asked for solution they didn't want to help, they could just propose me a double bed in another room as the hotel was empty (Christmas day).

Great service and ok room size. The breakfast was very good! The two beds were too narrow (about 1.10m or so) and not attached to each other. In addition to this they were sliding easily over the floor. As a result I fell through the slit between the beds one night, which was not pleasant at all!

Terrific value during the Parisian vacation season. 79 Euros. Rooms are fairly small, but otherwise a great place to stay if you can get a good rate.
